Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Thought first day it was no penalty then VAR showed it clearly was. Shambles.

VAR was meant to sort these out.

It was one of the clearest pens I've seen on a while, yet a top ref with a TV replay saw something else

Not much you can do about that.

Plenty you can do, Young tried to give the ball to Barca twice in 10 seconds and eventually did.

De Hay is a straw man.

Never big up your heroes, ever since the Man Utd thread was banging on about how he was better than Alisson he has been in a nose dive.

    That’s a howler.

All over and United had actually started very well.

Another howler from DDG. He's been so poor this year by his high standards.

Cant ever remember a player decline so quickly over the course of a year or two. Shambles now.

    DDG=GOAT

    I think a Goat might’ve saved that.

    De Gea must be concussed.

De Gea has regressed to the level of the players around him

    Hilarious stuff

De Gea is not a reliable keeper at the top level these days.

Swapping over to the Juve game now!

Cake, and grief counseling, will be available at the conclusion of the test

This could get very bad for Utd after a lively start.

Lindelof, Smalling, Jones and Young has to be one of the worst back fours Man Utd have ever fielded.

He's making a habit of howlers. Gone backwards this season.

He is prone to mistakes last few seasons, when you are surrounded my mediocrity you eventually descend into mediocrity yourself.

Messi chasing a hat trick after only 20 minutes.

United made the near perfect start, should have been ahead after 30 seconds, kept Barcelona at bay and then just gift them two goals.

There was a time there when De Gea could arguably have been described as the best keeper in the world. I wonder if the faulty fax machine that stopped his move to Real Madrid going through has seeped into his subconscience. Such a steep drop off.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 53,262 ✭✭✭✭GavRedKing

De gea would struggle to be considered top 5 in the world now.

He's had a very average 18months or so.

He's definitely well behind Oblak and Ter Stegen, maybe Alisson and Ederson too.

This “Ole at the wheel” patter is really starting to grow on me

It would have been some game if United had of managed to score first.

Shouldn't have broken the GOAT'S nose last week it just gave him a reason to turn it to tonight.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,661 ✭✭✭CalamariFritti

I'm no United fan but this was some weird and undeserving start.

Come out of the blocks like mad, hit the cross bar in the first minute, Barca looking all over the place. And 15 minutes, and a Messi action and a goalie howler later, they're basically out.

He'll be gone by this time next year. Delighted he got the job as a Liverpool fan myself.

Doesn’t change anything, still need to score

You can just picture Jose with a wry smile wherever he is saying I told you the defence was crap.
