Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Standard Ronaldo bionic neck header.

It’s not all bad for Utd – at least they know now De Gea won’t be leaving.

Pogba could play his way into staying too, the way he's dropped off in the last month or so.

1-0 Juventus. Did we really need VAR for that goal? Some young lad called Ronaldo scored.

Where’s Fred they need him? Not there or here😂😂😂😂😂

Juve going for the kill now. 2-0 would do it for them.

No ref was right on it. Poor poor stuff

If I went and filmed a match on my phone I'd have a clearer picture than Virgin do.

I love this Ajax team. 1-1 and they don't give a damn. Great to see a team like this.

A lot can happen in 60 minutes of football but it looks like United might be depending on a sending off to have any hope of getting back into this.

Either Ashley Young or Fred should be enough.

To be fair, Utd are out of their depth at this level. Going out to PSG would have been about right. They were lucky to get through. No shame in going down to Barcelona with a rookie manager and disjointed squad.

Maybe he just wanted to check was the defending as bad as he thought he saw in real time? :)

Seriously though, ball is about to come in and a bunch of Ajax defenders all looking away from Juves danger man while he runs in for a free header. Shocking.

VAR was meant to sort these out.

It was one of the clearest pens I've seen on a while, yet a top ref with a TV replay saw something else

There's one camera angle where it looks like Fred won the ball and i think that's all the ref watched because he hardly looked at the tv screen. Every other angle proves it should have been a penalty. Hardly matters now.

The young Ajax team are some battlers. Great stuff.

How is that not a card?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,089 ✭✭✭✭Fitz*

OGS played a CB (Bailly) on the right against PSG and he was torn assunder before getting hooked ASAP. why play a CB out there again tonight while leaving RB on the bench again, esp when Barca generally have a strong left hand side with Alba & Coutinho is always dangerous....

Pogba should have been given a yellow. He had several goes at Arthur.

Two of the three fouls were probably a yellow on their own.

It is ridiculous that the ref did not produce a yellow card there for Pogba.

Brutal defending by Ajax from the corner, at least they are still in it, hard to see a way back for United :(

What are you watching re: Ajax?

It would be something for Ajax to get Spurs in the semi final.

    Fred and Arthur in midfield.

Sound like fellas who worked in a factory during the week, played football at the weekend and subsequently enlisted for WW2.

He'll be gone by this time next year. Delighted he got the job as a Liverpool fan myself.

I think around Jan/Feb 2021 myself. They'll stick with him a few months more than they should just because he's well liked at the club. Either way, his appointment has fended them off for another good while so it's all good.

Ajax are the type of team that'd case Liverpool an awful lot of problems in the final. Assuming that Liverpool beat Barcelona in the semi, of course.

Surprised De Gea stopped that one.

Watching the Juventus v Ajax game but at 2-0, I'm guessing United are as good as out?

    The other match is class.

Yeah but this one is funny. It's so hard to choose.

Who told Rasford he was a freekick taker he is dire.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 27,349 ✭✭✭✭super_furry

I know they don't really need him the way things have gone, but you'd struggle to remember that Coutinho is on the pitch at times.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 20,337 ✭✭✭✭monkey9

Marcus Rashford and free kicks. Discuss :confused:

If Ajax made the final it would be the neutrals final without question - hell I'd probably be happy for them to win! :pac:

Can you not leave the Man United v Liverpool nonsense aside for 90 mins? Cracking game in Turin that the rest of us are trying to enjoy and talk about.

EDIT: It was. Poor miss though, hit the 2 feet of space De Gea was in.
