Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Ajax have legitimately played the best football in the Champions League this season so far.

Some lovely football by Ajax. That said, this has dodgy Juve win written all over it :pac:

Amazing interplay by Ajax. Great to watch

They make me fall in love with the game of football all over again. Super team to watch.

Another brilliant goal from Barcelona. Coutinho this time. That's it, should be. Don't see any way back for United, they've done pretty much nothing. Barca are treating it like a training session.

Not Good enough for that Man U team but good enough to score a worldy for Barca against them.

    Has this been said? Deluded.

Its a shame for football reasons PSG didnt get through to play Barca here, as this is just cringe worthy, but for the lolz its great manu are here showing the world how much they are in decline.

    United need 4 now

Juve doing well to slow it down to be fair.

Mossy Keane should have done better there

That would have been ridiculous for the hat trick

This is the kind of football I crave. Great play from the young Ajax team again but Juve are cuter and more experienced.

They can get them against Man City. :)

The previous round has worked out really well. It was lovely to see a club like PSG and a player like Neymar go out like that, unfortunately it was against Man U.

But if it means seeing Man U get this treatment in the next round, it was worth it.

United need 4 to go through... so OGS takes of a forward player and brings on a defender?? Am I missing something here?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 9,046 ✭✭✭Berserker

Cracking football from Ajax and lovely defending from Juventus.

    Juve hanging on here.

Should have smashed it instead of going across the goal. Another guilt edge chance by Ajax. They'll have to put one away soon

Just need Luis to score for the icing on the cake as a neutral :)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 22,287 ✭✭✭✭citytillidie

This is going to have a sucker punch for Ajax :(

    Trying to save his job!

A 6 or 7 nil would heap the pressure on

It is brilliant, but said bankrolled giants are just going to pick the team apart in the summer as usual. :(

I think they already have, is it 2 players already sold?

Doesn't want it to get embarrassing. Too late.

This Ajax team are sexy as fcuk. Be a shame if they don't progress.

Brilliant bit of last ditch defending though.

Martial was awful. Deserved to be hooked. And we were never going to come back anyway. Delusion if anybody thought otherwise

    Superb from Pjanic.

Ajax are a joy to watch though. Such energy about them. A bit like Monaco a few years ago - a young team full of beans (and no little quality).

I've switch over to the Juventus - Ajax game at half time and it's been a cracker to watch to date. Ajax really up for this.

Ajax will be like Monaco were two seasons ago and will lose all their best players in the summer.

Ffs Ajax gotta put those away

Cake, and grief counseling, will be available at the conclusion of the test

I love them but I'm shocked at how much they've thoroughly outplayed Juve.
Madrid were clearly at the end of their cycle but Juve are one of the tournament favourites.

Ajax trying to walk it in like ahem Arsenal.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,775 ✭✭✭✭Gbear

Juventus are in a tricky position to be fair. I think they're not really sure how to approach this. They can't go gung ho, because they can't afford to concede, but they can't just batten down the hatches and invite pressure. Not against a team who can play through a packed defence like this.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,417 ✭✭✭.G.

Yeah its all set up for Juve to nick it at the death.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,661 ✭✭✭✭Arghus

Ajax all over them at the moment.

DE LIGT! Come on Ajax, another one and kill them off completely!

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 9,046 ✭✭✭Berserker

Thoroughly deserved. 1-2. Just can't see Ajax not going through here. Juventus need two now. Spurs won't have a prayer against these.

I'm sorry that I haven't seen more of the Ajax game, they're a very exciting young team.

They'll probably get picked apart during the summer, as always.

    Delighted. Some team
