Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Emre Can showing himself up to be a petulant twat more interested in getting digs in on opposition than getting the ball.

Fairly cruel to leave Jones on this long.

This must be the worst ever performance by an English team in the CL quarters.

I'm not sure what you really wanted them to do. PSG completely flopped against them as they are tend to do. Man U should never have really gone through after the first leg.

Barca have just shrugged them off and strode into the semi finals. Man U are were they are as a club.

If any manager, be it Zidane in the summer, who wanted to buy pogba, if I was the man who signs the cheque I'd be asking him to show me a couple of performances that make him worth €100m+

I bet you they couldn't show you 2

Over the past 3 years or so, on merit he's probably a 60 - 70 million pound player. Great at times, but just not impactful enough in enough games to warrent top top prices. The guys who have gone for those prices have all always come off the back of great great seasons. No one can say Pogba has had a great season any time recently.

At 60m or so he's well worth the risk, as there's definatley a quality player in there. But for 100+m, you need a guaranteed performer regardless who your coach is, and regardless who's around him.

Keeping an eye on both games tonight... how is Ashley Young starting games? Absolutely woeful.

Man U could do with Danny Blind in there defence.

No they don’t. Especially not when it’s off the back of the run they had before that.

Potentially brilliant alright, though City are great at those bits of niggly ****housery and safe possession to stop teams even getting attacks going. Lots of little fouls when teams are deep in their own half, and slowing down any hints of opposition momentum by just moving the ball around themselves in safe areas, waiting for the right moment.

Spurs Ajax would be great though. Would love to see Ajax in the final, be a brilliant final against Barca or Liverpool (or Porto, but I wouldn't give them much chance of getting past Barca even if they win tomorrow)

what a pity, Juve probably the only club with any chance against Barca...
Ajax will just lie down for them.

I'd say good call but it seems like refs just roll the dice with hand ball.

Never a penalty, it was kicked at him from point blank range.

On replay, it didn't hit his hand anyway.

Haha. That was 10 times more a pen than the Man Utd one at PSG

    Edit : Maybe not.

Ajax invented how City play, I'm sure they'll know how to counter City. Pretty sure Barca have even struggled with weaker Ajax teams a few years back

Having a laugh? Watched these lads a fair bit and they won't lie down. Have won at Juventus and Real of late. That takes serious bottle.

In realtime it looked like his arm moved towards the ball. Replay shows its the ball that puts his arm in motion.

How do you counter someone fouling you deep in your area?

Totally agree that if they were able to break they could cause major problems to City, but there's no team in the world better than City at stopping opposition play from ever even happening.

Well done Ajax, thoroughly deserved victory!

They can actually win this competition, playing football like that they could beat any team in Europe on their day.

Best in the world going into the semis while Ronnie crashes out.

Best football I've seen in ages. Amazing to watch. Such a young team.

Ronaldo starved of possesssion tonight. Juve couldnt get the ball off Ajax to give it to him. This is a marvellous performance. This is no Leicester City, this is a team that plays with meticulous method and pattern and which such belief in their system.... As i said earlier, they make me fall in love with the game of football all over again..... Magic!!!!

Ronnie just walks off no shaking hands with anyone.

    Pampered spoiled child.

Great to see the GOAT make the semi final hopefully Liverpool get to play him there.

I hate that when a smaller team comes up like this, they are usually decimated in the next transfer window, modern football is such a load of bollox.
