Only pay TV on Wednesdays as always. No free to air in Ireland except for Tuesday night games. Both games will be on BT sport.

The other game is a dead rubber.

I think Liverpool fans and club have done enough over the years to more then repair any tarnished reputation done to the club after heysel tbh, Liverpool have a good bond with juve now and the fans behaviour abroad is impeccable and they are very fondly welcomed anywhere they go, bit like Irish fans I'd say

Have Liverpool played Juve since 05? The Juve fans didn't seem to be in on the good bond that night

Pool will get at least one.

So I think Porto will need at least 4.

    No contest.

Porto are camped in their half and have the lions share of possession with 13 shot of which 4 on target, but hey don’t let the facts get in the way.

Then the go and score, delighted for them.

    VAR works again.

Home team chasing from 2-0 behind, you would expect what Porto have done so far.

They have had the ball but caused Liverpool no real trouble

Look I'm not trying to be anal about it but you said "torn apart". I'd only ever use that if the goals were reigning in. They hadn't even tested the keeper.

Anyway they are through. Liverpool Barca will be a great tie.

    Well deserved

Ya just thinking back and probably the best clear cut chance that Porto had was the one that they didn't - VVD make a big tackle to win the ball back while Marega was almost 1v1.

Liverpool were massively outplayed that half but no real clear cut chances conceded. Midfield especially poor for Liverpool in the first half.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,775 ✭✭✭✭Gbear

This has gone similarly to the first half. Lots of running and possession in the attacking half by Porto but they really haven't made many good chances. Almost all of their shots have been from distance or poor angles. They seemed to be looking for a stroke of luck rather than having a serious notion of getting in behind us.

No doubting liverpool are the best team in Europe right now.

That 1 on 1 was flagged offside but the ref played on and Liverpool went up the other end and scored

2-0 by the foot of Salah makes the tie even deader.

You can get control of a game if you flood forward and the other team doesn't really have to score, but there's just been a gulf in class between the two teams and Liverpool killed the tie at their leisure.

Porto score from a corner but it doesn't really matter. They at least need 4 more.

Bit tragic here to be honest.

Porto gave a really good account of themselves and have got absolutely hockyed for their trouble. They just blew themselves out and exposed themselves more and more chasing the game. Fair ****s for chancing it. You can say they had nothing to lose, but getting battered at home again won't be an easy pill to swallow.

The crowd have been pretty magnanimous about the whole thing.

Was always going to be the case. All this talk about Porto being much better than last season was a load of nonsense.

Man City fans are weird. I turned over knowing they needed a goal to go through and expected a frantic few minutes of passion, but bloody Hell it was like they were 7-0 up against Doncaster Rovers in the League Cup. Just dead. A strange strange club. City fans haven't seemed to adapted to this new club of theirs and what it brings.

City to buy Messi its the only way Pep can win the Champions League.

I wonder if Spurs name is on this trophy now. They were basically out at the group stage with three games gone and somehow got through and now that VAR decision
