Collected my Power Armour edition yesterday.

Not sure if I play the game. But helmet itself is cool.

PS. do not try to go downstairs with it. Almost broke my neck last night.

If you’re a lore based player, this ain’t for you. The holotapes just don’t cut it really. I’ve bought it simply cause I love to randomly stroll in these games, throw on the music and pick random fights. Can totally understand why a lot of people are avoiding this though.

Yeah. I’m a dope. Should have clicked Social to check before asking. Was worried it might send me into a different game.

On another topic. Does anyone know if the Day One patch improved the Xbox framerate? It doesn’t seem that bad to me, despite the complaints I’d read about it.

Easy enough, you can see their locations on your map... unless of course you have a bounty on your head.

i've a good 10 hours or so in the game now and enjoying it so far but there are big problems with this game. had some really bad performance issues, had to go to medium settings and i don't think i should have to with a GT1060 for a game that is just a fallout 4 reskin essentially. I'm not a fan of the leveling system at all, the cards feel really gimmicky and the UI for it is awful. the UI in general is really bad. fells like a bad console port in that respect. the AI is awful at times and absolutely riddled with bugs. story is kind of meh so far but it's early days.

despite all that, i am enjoying it. base building is really cool and the world is truly massive and immersive. i hope they start patching the **** out of it though and adding content like crazy.

I caved, bought it because I love fallout and hope Bethesda patch it enough.

It's not as bad as I thought it might be. Pretty engaging despite the lack of human enemies, put a few hours in there and they flew by. Great fun hunting down wanted people, too.

Playing on Xbox One X and the performance is pretty terrible, spikes horribly a lot in combat and high density areas just like FO4 did....looks decent though and a nice change from FO4 visually, map is huge as well....not as densely packed with stuff as FO4 is, but it's a huge landscape to roam.

Watched the digital foundry video this morning about the performance on consoles.

Was enough to put me off. Wildly inconsistent performace across all the consoles.

Stupidly picked this up on disc this morning, had it returned before GS closed at 6pm. How dare they charge full price for such a messy broken piece of ****. I'm a massive Fallout fan but this mess has completely stained the series reputation for me.

Heh yeah, check online before buying, i know feck all about this game, but i do know that bethesda have admitted the game is being released broken. Which is just sad really.. In saying that though, atleast they admitted it prior to release.. Unlike the likes of Ubisoft and EA who poker face forever..
