Very surprising that mcnulty is starting

Would prefer fives. But hardly all that surprising that mcnulty starts. Played almost all the league and was one of the few that had a decent performance in the final. Hard to drop a fella in those circumstances for someone only back from a long injury

He done fine in the league but I'd have a fit Shane Fives in the team all day long. DJ Foran not on the subs list . Was he left off the panel after the league ?

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,286 ✭✭✭Mastermcgrath

McNulty deserves to start. Got his chance in the league and done well. Unlucky for Fives but that’s where you want to be in terms of having a strong panel

BTW, that Clare team looks strong

    Gone off panel apparently

S Fives had slight setback in training last week, ankle complaint.

Few quickies on Walsh Park. What's the best way to get to Walsh park(stand section) , walking from the train Station on match Sunday and is it much of a walking distance? Are there fast food places near the train station, or coffee shop in the station, will be stuck for time to get the train back so don't want to be looking for somewhere in a rush!
    TIA

26 minute walk from Train Station to Walsh Park

    Shared route
From Plunkett Station to Waterford GAA via R686 and Morrissons Ave.

    26 min (1.8 km)

On the way back to the train station the marion chipper is gorgeous. Its by the mercy school on a junction with 5 roads. You will pass it walking to and from walsh park. It is located about half way in your walk

No issue with McNulty starting, based on league performances.

Happy to see Hogan starting ; much more to come from this lad ; plucked a ball from the skies (most unlike our forwards) against Galway in the league semi final and duly slotted it over the bar ; in addition, he was the only Ballygunner forward to take the fight to Ballyhale.

Best of luck on Sunday lads!

Will be up late here watching from down under.

Hogan has been great all year and I don't think we've seen his best yet.

I'm delighted to see Prunty and McNulty named.

excellent second half performance , probably lacked a bit up front but there defensive set up was excellent as was there tackling . clare were terrible in the second half but that was down to not being able to break down an organized defence that only conceded 1 point in the second half and only one free conceded inside the scoring zone in the second half , definaty plenty to work with going forward

Best of luck to both teams today. Can't wait to be in Walsh Park for a Munster senior championship game again.

Best of luck to both our Minor & Senior teams today.

Before a ball is thrown in today, the committe at Walsh park and the county board should be applauded for the job they have done, the place looks fantastic. Amazing what can be done when they really want to.
Just hope they have toilet roll & a spare bulb.
Have a great day everyone :-)

Best of luck to both teams today. You can’t beat Munster championship games and days like today. That it’s in our home town makes it even better so here’s hoping we make it Fortress Walsh Park for years to come. A big congrats to the county board for having it in splendid condition also.

Best of luck too the senior and minor teams today

A win is a must, cant believe its Championship time already

As is always the case the week of a championship game, my mind is constantly switching between the game going brilliantly well and terribly disastrous. Never an in between with these things. Really hard to know who’ll come out on top, need big games from Moran, Barron, S. Bennet (I’d be confident they will) and in particular Aussie. Needs to get more involved from general play and drive the team forward, he’s more than capable of taking the game to Clare.

Home advantage should hopefully be worth a few points and the lads will no doubt want to right the wrongs from last year. I’ll tentatively give us the nod to come through by 4 or 5.

I know a few were saying during the week it’s not a great minor team but I recall the same was said last year and we did fairly well. Minors can be unpredictable at the best of times and as mentioned above, home advantage usually counts for a bit more at underage. Hopefully the lads can come through here.

The very best of luck to the seniors and minors today.

    Up the Deise

Glorious sunshine, just what you'd want for our first home game in many years.

Massive day for us today, very best of luck to minors and senior teams today.

Few big players which is nice too see

    Same old same old

Clare playing very well. O Donnell causing havoc and Noel Connors gone off injured

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,286 ✭✭✭Mastermcgrath

This is very poor. Clare are bullying us out of it. The big name players need to get into the game and fast, the likes of Gleeson Mahoney and De Barca. otherwise our season will be as good as over in 35 minutes

    Pretty awful first half

  • Users Awaiting Email Confirmation Posts: 950 ✭✭✭mickmackmcgoo

Getting trounced here by a better coached team . Clare have extra men everywhere

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,853 ✭✭✭Cake Man

Turgid stuff, forwards can’t win anything and fb line in trouble every time a ball goes in there. Difficult to see us coming back from this.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,585 ✭✭✭JeffKenna

Need to man up into the tackle and start taking them out like there doing to us.

Very worried. We don’t look at the races. This looks a different Clare team to the side that came down here for the league quarter final. Hope we can get out of the traps in the second

    **** it anyway

We put the subs on way too late

One foot out for this summer no way we can beat Tipp in Thurles and even 2 wins from the last 2 might not be enough

  • Registered Users Posts: 167 ✭✭Deise Gael

I don't care it's some joke firstly having Mickey Kearney anywhere near that team and then to have to look at him for the full game foostering, floundering and falling and contributing sweet f*ck all. If that's the most important thing that his brother brings to the management set up then he shouldn't bother.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,251 ✭✭✭friendlyfun

    That was absolutely woeful.
