Since Wicklow County Council have completed the Bray Strand road cycle path touring coaches are unable to make the right turn from Convent Avenue onto Strand road due to the wooden bollards protecting the cycle path.
It's not the coach drivers fault as there is no signage indicating vehicle length restriction on Convent Avenue.

These bollards are removable for special occasions but are generally padlocked.

Several times I've witnessed traffic bedlam as these long coaches are forced to reverse all the way back up Convent Avenue and some enraged car drivers also forced to reverse all the way back up to the Meath road Junction to try find an alternative route onto Strand Road.

My question is should Wicklow CC not have placed vehicle length restriction signage at the Meath Road/Convent Avenue junction to avoid this.

have you reported this to the council, they might not be aware.
