    Hi there can you please tell me would I get carers allowance for my adult son who suffers with mental health issues should he attend college full time? Thank you

    No I dont think you would get carers allowance for your son.

    He might be able to get to a social welfare payment for himself

    Afraid not, to recieve carers allowance you have to be providing fulltime care in the home - if he's in college that's not possible. Also it's tough to get CA for someone with a mental health concern, because it's hard to really quantify the time spent caring, unfortunately.
