Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Well I'm in wet wet wet Ireland, looking out at heavy rain. But, doing so through nice clean windows - what else can you do on a wet day but wash the inside of the windows to get a better view of the rain?

I may also have the middle chicken with me who's horseing into a chocolate croissant while I'm having a fresh fruit scone and a lovely americano coffee....it's the simple things.

I can confirm that it is wet rain.

Ironically, Mrs S decided it was too wet for the parkrun this morning and went for a swim instead.

Now, having a read through the paper before attacking the crossword.

Getting the last of the weekend chores done, then a bite of lunch, shower and off out to meet friends for a few pints while watching the rugby match. Looking out at that rain it's only a day for the high stool as they say.

Not sure how she swims, but less chance of wet clothes.

My cohabitors have gone out for the morning so have the house to myself which is rare. Loud cheesy music- here we come.

Bored now. Might need to brave the rain and go get a paper.
Or bribe the kid next door to go get one for me.

bed, trying in vain to get warm. CFS/ME does this, and the dratted vomiting bug followed by other events that stole sleep means a difficult few weeks .

However I can still knit and read and watch youtube.... and cook good food etc,

Am getting entertained by my elderly mother.
Was on the phone helping her with a problem with her iPad.
She had to put the phone down, the landline, for a sec to do something but then picked up her mobile to resume the conversation and could not figure out why she could not hear me. But I can hear her as I am still on the landline.
I will call her back in a few mins if she does not figure it out.

In the library. Still semi-soaked from the rain I prepare to venture back out, having been working hard on my history research project all day. Also was in Galway for work so it's been productive. Having severe trouble with pain unfortunately today though and I can't shake the thought that a wheelchair is in my future :(. Ah well. I'm happy out right now even though I've plenty of reason not to be.

Hope you got warmer Grace. Hot water bottles and socks are great as I'm sure you know.

Spent the entire day inside more or less because of the feckin rain. Kids are starting to get cabin fever. A take away for dinner and a couple of beers is the plan

Waging a war with Qatar Airlines as they have just informed me that I will probably be denied boarding on Monday. I complied with their allergy policies, got a doctors report at €65 and might not be able to fly, all because they don't have a doctor to approve it at the weekends. Why didn't they tell me that earlier today when I raced to Doctor on Call half an hour away to get the stupid form signed.

    So f&&kin angry right now.

Yiz might see me on telly on Monday for kicking up a fuss at the airport.

@witchie, how did the doctors note get requested ? Did you ask them not to serve nuts?

If you do get denied, give me a shout and we can get a pint, at that stage I should be only 15 minutes away from you 😀

Lappy on kitchen counter listening to The Cure, Close to Me. Really good song despite yer man's belief that he needed all the crap he went on with to justify an obvious talent. Or maybe we'd all throw a load of mascara on and dance around in slow motion if we had the chance.
Also, how did Frankie Goes to Hollywood Power of Love become a Christmas song?
It's all about love etc, "make love your goal" but the video is like a scene from a catholic school Xmas concert.
