If it's a 4Ball, they could have another person coming along with them.
well then they should have booked the slot
    callaway92 wrote: »
It's either that or they are 3 lads playing a casual round I'd assume
its a competition so i doubt they are playing a casual round

Comp on tomorrow and I see one or two slots open, is it alright to book in and fill the fourth slot?

    100%. Wouldn't even think twice.

May have been a reason they couldn’t (non member or something of the likes. Was trying to just give suggestions to help the op.

Couldn’t make out from the first post if it was a comp or not that the guys were registered for. Which I clarified in a further post which you clearly didn’t read and just wanted to have a dig at me.

You were clearly offended by my post here haha

Don’t take it personally bud - it’s a forum and I was trying to help

i wasn't offended at all and nothing personal taken and no digs from my end.. at you anyway
just saying, if you want to play with 4 guys, make sure you block the line or else someone else will jump in and you can't stop it

I was writing it in the hypothetical situation though that the guys may have had 4 but couldn’t book a 4th person for some reason (non-member or something along those lines)

I have no mates at my golf club (all together now, ahhhhh) so I put myself down in spare slots literally every time I play. It's completely 100% acceptable common practice. I do tend to play competitions only however but have on occasion done it on casual rounds (this may be slightly more of a grey area).

    Well yeh.

I clearly touched a nerve of yours looking at the tone of your comments.

Calm yourself down and note we are on a forum trying to help the OP.

Don’t take it so personally or you won’t enjoy it.

I play casually with a mate of mine but would never leave a bloke on his own if he was looking to jump in, rather than go round on his own.
