Bathroom extractor fan with closing vents

Hello,

House is in an area which can have high winds.

I'm looking for a bathroom extractor fan whose vents open only when fan is in use. Tying to avoid external drafts coming into the bathrooms.

Any recommendations ?

Lived in an apartment years ago that had these. Worked well for the closing purpose, a bit noisy but very good extract air flow when working.

That stainless steel (German?) fan looks like it would have issues in Irish weather. We get a lot of driving rain and driving drizzle which would quite likely end up in the fan mechanism.

You're best off avoiding those loose, single, heavy external backdraft flaps that are just driven by the air flow too. They tend to rattle around like crazy in the wind here. We had one on an en suite bathroom and you would think someone were knocking on the door at night!

What made you go for this over a single unit with backdraught shutter which you can fit to ceiling?
