River swimming spots: Athenry

    Can anyone recommend good spots for river swimming near Athenry town. Closest i am aware of is Loughrea. Thanks

    The only river is the Clarin which is too small and shallow during the summer for any kind of a swim.

    The long point in Loughrea is a fantastic spot. I was there on Sunday, hundreds of people there
