If it wasnt for the TTT, this would actually be pretty close.

    In Tour de Suisse news,
UAE are currently 3rd, ahead of an admittedly 3rd rate Team Sky. A slight glimmer of hope for Dan for the Tour possibly

Dan's in with a chance of a Podium finish tomorrow, 10secs on the line and only 29 seconds to make up on Bardet who isn't looking amazing.

Its amazing how sky find these riders from nowhere capable of dropping all but 3-4 elite climbers - step forward tao geoghan hart

    And in slightly related news
Sam wins Rund um Koln in Germany. from reading twitter coverage Bora controlled the race and set things up nicely for Sam. Nice to see his form holding up after such a tough Giro

Another 125 UCI points, we will all be going to Innsbruck at this stage :)

Looks like Thomas and Sky were salty about AG2R riding when he punctured. 40km to go???? Allez Allez!!!!

I'm definitely not a fan of sky, but in fairness to the lad, Tao Geoghan Hart isn't really from nowhere, both in his career to date and the season so far.

They are always moaning like this - same in the last stage of the Giro and when Froome's Di2 failed in one of the stages of last years TdF - this is bike racing not tiddlywinks

It drives me nuts. Components and tyres are choices teams/ riders make. They choose electronic over mechanical gearing, potentially choose lighter less rolling resistant tyres over heavier but perhaps more robust tyres.

    http://inrng.com/2018/06/the-moment-the-2018-criterium-du-dauphine-was-won/
Dan Martin won at Valmorel in his familiar style, pedalling like a chicken pecking at invisible trail of corn laid along the road. It might ungainly but the galline style works and his season is back on track after a difficult start for him and his team.

:pac: I'm going to re-watch that stage win with this in mind.
