I'd recommend applying once a day suncream twice, and always after exposure to water.

I've learned the hard way about suncream usage, and now have permanent scarring and am 70% likely to get skin cancer! And yes, I was wearing suncream. I wore factor 30. And I applied it three times that day. You can never be too careful.

Family have had marks removed and skin cancer detected in one case so we are ultra careful now now. I have sun damage marks on my shoulders where I got a very severe sunburn as a child from swimming in the pool and sun cream not working (and yes it was ‘waterproof’, was applied regularly and I’m sallow). Factor 30 with UVA/UVB on everyone now every few hours and every time we get out of the pool. Little lad is in full uv suit and hat and we don’t go out in the height of the day when abroad. I’m not taking any chances

My dermatologist recommends factor 50 with 5 star uva protection. Nothing else scientifically with prevent skin cancer. Just letting you know :)
