    Hi Guys,

This is a Micra (05) car but perhaps it is general to many cars.

The door wont open. passenger side

    Central locking won't open it.
    Won't open from inside.
    No key option.

All i've tried is disconnecting the battery. Didn't work.

I guess its either the rods or a motor for the central locking system.
However, without being able to open the door I can't access the inner panel to remove it.

Any vids i've seen on youtube deal with situations were the door is already open.

    Any thoughts?

    thanks

Are you sure there isn't a key option? Something like this?

Fast forward to about 1:20 or so for the procedure of opening it to ensure you don't break it by pulling.

EDIT: Actually, after reading the comments on that link, I would insert the key into the slot on the bottom of the cover and twist it slightly. Apparently, that's what it's there for and the screwdriver method is more risky in terms of breaking the cover and damaging paint.

Thanks very much for this tip.
I honestly never realised that was there. Feel a bit thick. LOL
Anyway, got it open and the electronics seemed to work after that. Ill keep an eye on it.

    Cheers
