Fairly busy card today. Some information for today/tonight’s fights..

    Sean Turner our Irish interest

BT Sports (Sky channel 413) from 19:00 hours. At 17:30 they’re showing a behind the scenes with Fury. Could be an interesting watch.

    https://www.express.co.uk/sport/boxing/971377/Tyson-Fury-vs-Sefer-Seferi-undercard-fights-Terry-Flanagan-vs-Maurice-Hooker/amp

Virgin channel 531 and BT TV channel 408..

Also from 01:30 tomorrow morning on BoxNation (Sky channel 427) we have Crawford/Horn card from Vegas

Leo Santa Cruz fights Abner Mares in the Staples Centre, Los Angeles. Not sure where one can watch this.

    Enjoy, fight fans..

I was kind of surprised to see him still fighting after the midweek incident.

I won't be cheering for him anyway.

I thought Gorman was very impressive there, Turner not up to much but he's tough.

I though BT and Boxnation operated together?

This show is not on Boxnation and obviously I don't have BT.

Hope fury gets his **** together to get in the wilder Joshua mix. Neither I think are in league with the greats but it’ll be good for the division.

Hooker can’t miss with that right hand. Flanagan looking poor so far.

Rougly what time would people expect the Fury fight to begin by?

Young lad Gorman looks classy. Can’t believe he’s not 40 though by looking at him.

10:15pm according to Betfair which is usually reliable.

edit: just flicked on to BT sport and I see it's in round 10/12 of this fight so defo not 10:15pm.

One judge gave it 117-111 to Flanagan - fuck me.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,127 ✭✭✭✭normanoffside

    117-111 Flanagan :pac:

    The right man won that.

Finally a commentator explains how in a close fight you can have wide scores....beats all the nonsense cries of “disgracefulcatd.”

    Hooker overall deserved it...

Neither man comes close to great..

First thing that came into my head is that Josh Taylor would make bits of Hooker.

He's okay Hooker tbf, just not genuine World Class. Flanagan was a solid fighter at Lightweight, but he'll struggle up at 140 by the look of that fight.

I think if two judges are looking at the same fight and score the fight 117-111 in opposing directions, then there is either something wrong with the judges or there is just something wrong with the scoring system. Ridiculous.
I see the Irish guy lost to Nathan Gorman. He was talking the big talk at the presser. Even interrupted Ricky Hatton a few times!! But Gorman got him out in three.

Fury Entrance music: 'Because I got high' :pac:

If the rds are razor close then there is nothing wrong with the scoring system or the judges...it has always been a humanly subjective judging based system..

Ah ffs, yer man is dressed like a girl scout.

All fights should continue till there's a knockout, eliminate judges :)

What's with seferis socks. Is he going straight on a long haul flight when the fights over?

    Get fooking on with it...

Ref needs to set the tone here..

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,022 ✭✭✭anthonyjmaher

ffs, it's a joke. Can you imagine if you had paid for this?
