    Hi,
Im looking for a gift for fathers day of a soundbar to accompany an LG TV (one of the latest models). My dad has bad hearing and finds it hard to make out the tv sound (which IMO is bad anyway). I havnt a clue where to start looking.
Anyway its a gift for fathers day, so my budget isnt THAT high. Would you have anything your recommend at a good price or in your clearance? I had spotted the Denon system on clearance but it seems its sold.

    Hi mel123,

I would start off looking at the Q Acoustics M4. It doesn't have a subwoofer but if your dad has trouble making out speech on the TV they are perfect. They are the best stereo soundbar I've heard at a descent budget having won the What Hifi award twice now for best soundbar in it's class. It's a very clear sounding bar and retails at £229.

After that I would look at the Yamaha YAS207 which has a bar and a wireless subwoofer. This will give you a much deeper sound than the M4 for movies as well as great clarity. It retails at £269.

Let me know what you think!

    Kind regards

    David
