Saracens deliberately ruining advantage with cynical play, I’d yellow that all day

  • Registered Users Posts: 11,790 ✭✭✭✭Burkie1203

5 penalties in 22 and no card is a shambles

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,300 ✭✭✭✭razorblunt

Even just now, Kebble prevented from getting to the ruck to the extent he bumped into Reynal, Saracens win that ruck an Ethernet half is over.

I think Glasgow might get a bit more luck with Horne at scrum half against that red line.

    It's infuriating to watch.

Ref seems very reluctant to discipline Sarries. All the same, can't take away from their defense. That was a big moment and they kept Glasgow out. Big psychological blow.

It's easy to defend when the ref gives them carte blanche. They should be down to 13.

Sarries are getting away with whatever they want. Were they not in touch in the buildup to their try too?

I'm no Saracens fan but there has been plenty of foul play on both sides. Ref is letting an awful lot go, it's been happening all weekend.

I don't know why Glasgow have so much confidence in their maul, it wasn't working.

Having said that, the Saracens should have been given a yellow there. Glasgow will be pissed off they didn't get 7, but they also should have taken 3.

True enough, Glasgow are always shíthousing so I can’t say it’s not pleasant seeing it being done to them.

Was there any angle of the “turnover” for the pen at the end?

    Yes

Reynal is probably the only ref in the world who seems to find all this excitement and handbags profoundly boring. At least that's how he sounds. :D

    Toulon 15-23 Newcastle

Commentators said Billy V off with a potential injury

Swinging arm by Itoje to a prone man off the ball. Replayed shown, sharp intake of breath from one of the commentators followed by absolute silence.
Why does he get away with so many things repeatedly?
Last bad word I heard about him was on BBC during the 6 Nations.

Watch Kruis and Rhodes when they hit rucks, always swinging their arm a bit.

He's still very much the RFU's golden boy. Despite the fact he's been a passenger for the last year or so for Saracens and England.

That offload from Rhodes was one of the stupidest things I’ve ever seen. He’s a very very lucky guy

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,201 ✭✭✭troyzer

This is the messiest game I've ever seen. Offside and loose balls everywhere.

    It's really entertaining.

Toulon 22 Newcastle 23 is an excellent game so far despite the ref

Massive passage of defence there from Glagow. Outstanding stuff tbh. Would love them to go on and win this.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 39,053 ✭✭✭✭eagle eye

Saracens have been awful in the opposition's 22. They should be up by 20+ with all the possession they have had in the red zone.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,375 ✭✭✭✭prawnsambo

Glasgow are forcing it too much.

Jackson at 15 has been really awful. Poor decisions and executions all day

Gets away with murder that fella, if he wasn’t a local lad he’d have been booted long ago. He was their golden boy 10 years ago.

What the fúck was that coming out of itoje's nose!

Poor decision to kick that away. Glasgow are really missing that killer instinct to finish off their attack

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,300 ✭✭✭✭razorblunt

25-23 to Toulon and a yellow for Savea for taking out the 9

Glasgow do all the hard work and then consistently polish it off with a brain-dead offload or pass

Tackling the player with out the ball, he had his a hands on it.

The lack of a replay of it reinforces my view that I am right

BT only show the ones that benefit Saracens :P

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,018 ✭✭✭Bridge93

Turner has shat the bed big time

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,616 ✭✭✭✭errlloyd

Dunno why Glasgow havent taken points

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,247 ✭✭✭Boscoirl

You can't take the 9 out even if he has his hands on the ball though.

It was open play, it was the pen after The Glasgow break

Glasgow have had more than enough chances to win this with a bit more composure and if they'd stop turning down kickable penalties.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,149 ✭✭✭mangobob

FFS Glasgow are their own worst enemy here.

Deleted the post because I thought you were referring to the Newcastle Toulon game where Savea was given a yellow for taking the 9 out.

    Another nonsense penalty
