    Equally daft from Davis there...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,300 ✭✭✭✭razorblunt

More bad luck for Scarlets, there was a Lozowski-esque clear out on Davies at a ruck there, in front of Poite too.
Once again BT not even referencing it.

Leicester need to kick the leather off the ball for the last 15 mins.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,730 ✭✭✭✭Squidgy Black

Anyone know what the letters on Leicester's jerseys above the kukri logo are for?

    The letters indicate the position

Ie George Ford is j = 10th letter of the alphabet

Scarlets really struggling with Leicester's direct power game. Discipline has gone to pot.

Is it a throwback to when Leicester used use letters instead of numbers on the back of their jerseys?

Just copped that there. Pretty cool.

It is, they have it on their warm up tshirts too.

Now that was far too easy for Leicester. Have Scaarlets just given up?

BT are awful once an English team is doing good.....

    Mighty second half from Leicester.

    Mighty second half from Leicester.

    Especially defence.

Hard to see Scarlets get past pool especially without lbp. Ulster could get 2nd with lbp as things stand.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,076 ✭✭✭✭vienne86

Scarlets butchered a certain looking try there - it would have meant two bonus points if it had been converted.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,300 ✭✭✭✭razorblunt

There's butchering an overlap and there's THAT!

Scarlets were awful, never had control of that game. BT delighted with an English club winning, commentator imploring Poite to give a penalty at the end.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,150 ✭✭✭✭LuckyGent88

Some butchering of a try at the end by scarlets. Would have got them 1 point at least

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,076 ✭✭✭✭vienne86

I'm shocked Scarlets lost that, and so badly - that must be them done in the competition now. I don't favour premiership teams, but delighted for Geordan Murphy.

No points for Lanelli, that's big deal for Ulster so

I mean, it's nice to see an English team other than Saracens win a European game, I was starting to get sick of BT saying the Gallagher Premiership is so much better than the champions cup, another couple wins and they'll be singing it's praises.

    They were 18 points behind.

Only tbp. Converted try would have made it 45 -34 so still shy of lbp

Yup, early days yet but hard to see runner up from that group as thing stand.

Looks like Llanelli are out now. Their pack looks weak at the moment. Racing could win every game.

Yep, backrow and second row look very weak. Much weaker without Beirne, Barclay, and Shingler.

Scarlets pack is nowhere near as good now they've lost Beirne and Barclay. They slowed down so much ball at the breakdown as well as providing go forward. Throw in the James Davies injury as well and they've lost so much of what made them such a dangerous side. Can't score brilliant counterattacking trys if you can't poach ball.

Get what ya mean but Gloucester and Newcastle won last week too. Munster and Montpellier will probably stop them this weekend. Leaving a win for Wasps/Bath in that game, and likely Exeter away win.

Reading some of the posts in this thread and you could be forgiven for thinking that the Scarlets should have run out comfortable winners.

Anyone else see any chance for upset this weekend? Guess last week it was probably Newcastle beating Toulon

I would absolutely LOVE it if Ulster could turn Racing over. Think the only other game with potential to be as big an upset would be Lyon away to Saracens.

Gloucester winning in Thomond would be a fairly big upset, Toulouse winning at home would be an upset and would get a lot of attention but it wouldn't be hugely surprising.

For my money Castres beating Exeter at home or Newcastle beating Montpellier at home would be the most likely surprise wins.

Lovely early try from Exeter. Castres defence sloppy.

    Ref absolutely riding Gloucester.

Cipriani sent off. Ref had no choice.

    Ref absolutely riding Gloucester.
I'm not a Munster fan but I'll disagree with this.
The referee has been poor imo but both sides have been given penalties they shouldn't have and a lot of stuff wasn't called that should have been.
Gloucester got a penalty for holding on where their player on the ground never released. They've also gotten away with a couple of no arms tackles.
Munster have benefitted from the poor refereeing too.

How is POM still getting away with his illegal bind?

    Absolutely baffling.

some try by the castre number 4.

Castre 26 exeter 19, castre a man down, red for a head hit.

Exeter looking for another red card for a high tackle.

He's binding properly now. The ref must have had a word at half time.

    At it again.

Can somebody explain to me how he's consistently managed to do this all season without getting penalised?

    That's Exeter out.

Exeter were very one dimensional, Castre defense was solid in second half, Exeter could not break them down.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,392 ✭✭✭✭Clegg

Took all of three minutes for Wasps defence to get shredded to bits.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,392 ✭✭✭✭Clegg

Wasps hooker goes off for a HIA. Five minutes later their replacement hooker blocks a kick with his face. Now he's off for a HIA.

They're lucky they have a back row on the bench that used to play hooker.

Edinburgh 10 Toulon 0 with 15 minutes gone.

Can they still move to uncontested on the scrums now?

JP Doyle conversing in French to Toulon, brilliant to see.

Pyrgos has made a big difference to Edinburgh, Mata at 8 is a baller too, some control from 9 and 10 and Edinburgh will take this.

Wasps v bath is a very scrappy game. Loads of handling errors and sloppy play. Can’t see either posing a challenge to Leinster this season.
