Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Glad to see Toulon imploding, years of bought success won't build a club if there's no culture there. And Savea's missus shouldn't be let near social media.

Oh no a player celebrated a try..

Lowry's a big biy and professional I'm sure he'll get over it..

Zeebs has always been a flamboyant player, amd some of the stuff posted here about him tonight is waay ott

    Munsters all time points scorer
7 tries in 8 for racing..

any club team would welcome him with bells on!

Pointing in a mocking fashion at an opponent is more than "celebrating".

He has been inclined to Ashton style triumphalism in the past and he really should stop.

It was just Owens trying to be the center of attention again

    He taunted an opponent.

The sycophants have arrived though to tell us its completely normal despite his apologies clearly showing he doesn't agree.

I didn't see that bit, just saw his silly dance over by cheerleaders

    Nobody gets relegated in October.

It's France though, they're already 37 games into the season.

With 161 left to play before the final in August.

So will Bath be asking for this one to be replayed too?

I don't think it deserves some of the grief but, to play devil's advocate, I'd ask if you had the same opinion when Armitage taunted Brock James in the HEC final in identical fashion?

It was completely crass and lacking in any class. He deserves some criticism.

English clubs have been particularly awful this season. Wasps vs Bath is so bad.

Two English clubs playing against each other and they both still managed to lose.

    Great news for Leinster though.

There's nothing wrong with celebrating. There's very much something wrong with pointing at an opponent and laughing at them. I think this is pretty obvious. I can remember tries being disallowed back in my schools days for celebrating. The Zeebs defence force has mobilised though.

The Champions Cup hasn't been great quality thus far with the exception of Leinster who along with Saracens look strong favourites.

The new tackle rule is sort of ruining games at the moment but hopefully it will force players to go lower which might mean more offloads.

As someone else said they could do with getting rid of the choke tackle. It doesn't do much for the game, just ending up with another scrum reset.

A Wasps win would have been better for Leinster. As it stands, Bath have a strong interest with Leinster coming. A loss would have eliminated them in reality and Wasps would have been out by the time Leinster visit them anyway.

Is there actually a new tackle law?? I don't think so.

Or have the refs been told to enforce the existing ones more stringently? It seems any contact with the head now is at best a yellow card and most likely a red. A stand up soak tackle now carries a huge risk as any contact with the ball carriers head means a probable red.

Im all for it, but I just wish this had been done by clear world rugby edict. What we now have is confusion among players, current and ex, as to what's allowed and what's not. Kaino last week, cips this week... Had players been told at the start of the season "lads, if you stand up tackle, rugby league style, and any part of your body makes contact with the head of the ball carrier, it's most likely a red.

Like I already replied , I hadn't seen that bit. And I was asking a question. No need for defence force guff

    No, they didn't.

He got dog's abuse from all corners and apologized to Genia afterwards.

Scrum aside Montpellier are woeful. If Newcastle can cut out the errors they can cut through them, can’t keep spurning try scoring opportunities though.

Just appalling. 28 phases and a stupid knock-on. They are bringing nothing outside of the scrum.

28 phases with no real invention.

Every time Cruden gets it, he's looking around for ideas and there's just nothing on.

Newcastle need to put this to bed. Montpellier will take heart if they're still in touch after an hour given how mediocre they've been.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,416 ✭✭✭Dave_The_Sheep

Lucky to get out of that phase with 3 points, Montpellier. Another knock on, saved by an unlucky high tackle.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,201 ✭✭✭troyzer

If Newcastle win today, they'll have more wins from two European games than from six Premiership games.

I'm not sure what to make from that.

The commentary audio needs to cut out the crowd beside them.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,005 ✭✭✭realhorrorshow

Newcastle have really let Montpellier grow into it. They don’t lack for effort but a quality would have put Montpellier to the sword in the first half.
