Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Is there a shot of the Glasgow player grounding it? To me the ref blows the whistle before any grounding

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,416 ✭✭✭Dave_The_Sheep

Not that it really matters in the end.

Is Eddie Jones ever quizzed on why he doesn’t put Alex Goode in his England squads? Anytime I watch Saracens I think he is excellent.

Think it was discussed on BT during the week. That was before the England squad was announced and they didn't think he would get selected.

How is this a Sarries scrum

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,817 ✭✭✭✭bilston

    43 points in 30 minutes...

This is like that mental England France match the year we won the 6Ns in Murrayfield

Don’t have commentary, should that not have been a Glasgow 22?

It was never grounded. The winger picked it up and then gauziere was awarding the try.

Glasgow got screwed there by ref. It should have been their scrum since ref just stopped play while they were in possession.

    Billy V was unstoppable there.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 3,220 ✭✭✭cameramonkey

That wasn't a scrum, Glasgow player did not touch ball down, refs whistle stopped play.

Lots of crawling and driving on the ground after being tackled and held going on. Irritating.

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,822 ✭✭✭Jump_In_Jack

Hogg’s fault there, brilliant pass from VdM.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,149 ✭✭✭mangobob

Hogg is such a class player.

Saracens need one more try to guarantee a home 1/4 final, a try bonus would do it for them.

No it wouldn't. Unless you mean a try bonus win?

If Glasgow win with a tbp will they not win the group?

It would guarantee them a home quarter. Not a home semi.

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,822 ✭✭✭Jump_In_Jack

Sorry, a try bonus wouldn’t guarantee a home 1/4, only if they win or if they lose by less than 10 points, or if they lose by exactly 10 points but will have scored more tries against Glasgow than Glasgow against them. If exactly same points and tries against each other then Saracens would win by superior points difference from the pool matches.

If Glasgow got a tbp and lbp would it change permutations?

Ref is a bit of a homer.

It would mean Ulster need a win to avoid a QF trip to sarries

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,994 ✭✭✭c.p.w.g.w

Was that not a no-arm tackle

    From itoje and mirko v

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,416 ✭✭✭Dave_The_Sheep

    That was a knock on?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 3,220 ✭✭✭cameramonkey

Glasgow need to tidy things up or they will lose.

    Great scrum by Glasgow

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,149 ✭✭✭mangobob

That looked to me like he knocked it back with his hand then forward off his foot.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,150 ✭✭✭✭LuckyGent88

Loved that by the Glasgow players in fairness. Hastings getting his own back on wigglesworth after the tap on his head.

Can’t wait till the have to play each other again.

Eir sport app is crap. Any radio streams hardly?!

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,822 ✭✭✭Jump_In_Jack

Glasgow need a five-point swing or a four-point swing and a win by more than 10 points to top the group and get a home 1/4 final.

Glasgow getting enough let offs, will they take their chance?

A big let off for Glasgow there.

Goodnight Irene. Valiant effort from Glasgow though.

    Glasgow just too inaccurate

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,416 ✭✭✭Dave_The_Sheep

Glasgow have totally blown it this half completely. Not protecting their back, silly turnovers for no reason, lineout imploding. Only themselves to blame, regardless of the pressure sarries are putting them under.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,201 ✭✭✭troyzer

It's on Scarlets now to stop Racing scoring 4.

Why's there bad blood between Saracens and Glasgow?

And how was that a penalty? He put the player down safely.

  • Moderators, Education Moderators Posts: 26,403 Mod ✭✭✭✭Peregrine

Wrist exactly was that penalty for?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 3,220 ✭✭✭cameramonkey

Saracens dont look like world beaters. I think Leinster would have their number maybe Munster too.

So if Scarlett keep racing from a top and leinster win win a top tomorrow, would Leinster potentially be second on points difference?

Yep. I'm fairly confident Leinster will get a TBP win, especially if they know it'll bag them a home semi.

It's all down to the Scarlets to either beat them or at least hold them to a four points win.
