Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

They haven't shown up on the site. I've been bashing F5 for the last 15 minutes and no sign :(

No doesn't look like they went up. Newcastle Falcons twitter account is telling people to contact Newcastle United FC with any issues. Doesn't seem the most organised of set ups

They also said "contact NUFV, it's their website". Unprofessional AF

Yup, it's a weird one, not sure why Champions Cup isn't hosting ticket site as opposed to the football club who happen to play in the same stadium. Odd setup

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,834 ✭✭✭✭Eod100

Now they're telling people to ring office and someone did and only open at 10am apparently. Not ideal

That seat map is a dose. Anyone pick up any? Think only categories were 45,90 and 120

They don't just "happen" to play there, they own the stadium!

Yeah point was more any of the other finals EPCR never own the stadium but usually run the ticket side of things

St. James Park is an incredibly awkward stadium, you can see it from the ticket map.

I wonder if there was some technical reason that meant EPCR would have to build their own ticket map of the stadium and decided it wasn't worth the effort.

Possibly, doesn't help that the ticket price categories don't actually correspond to the colours on the seat map either!

Bought 2 in the hope of Munster making the final. Hopefully an Irish team makes it anyway so it won't be too hard to shift them.

It will be a sarries vs racing final

    Leinster Saracens id say.

Got sorted with 45 quid ones. Looks like there's a fair few 90 quid ones still. Green section far side of the pitch by the 22 for anyone still looking. Seat map is terrible

Well one can dream anyway of Munster making it. Let's see what happens tomorrow. ;)

Yeah we managed to pick a few. We already had the trip booked, so tickets were the last piece of the puzzle!

There’s currently return flights to Glasgow available for €83 (Fri-Sun). They could be an option for anyone considering staying in Edinburgh.

Any recommendations on places to watch the Ulster game in Edinburgh?

Glasgow win? Home semi in Dublin?

    Yup
I would have said very unlikely, but now with Farrell out it might be interesting....

That hope for Glasgow was fun while it lasted ....

  • Registered Users Posts: 582 ✭✭✭Hobosan

Twice there, Saracens had zero players defending the ruck, and Owens disallowed Glasgow from competing, a common trend I've noticed in rugby.

If one player was defending it and was driven off it then Glasgow might have turned it over, yet when nobody is defending it, players can't compete. Effectively teams are being rewarded for under resourcing rucks.

This is like watching Saracens 3 years ago, utterly dominating this.

    Sarries v Munster it is.

Couldn't back Munster with Sarries in this form.

9 points behind with 40 minutes to go. Haven't people learned anything from the England v Scotland match?

For 38 minutes of that game, Hogg was useless.

This isn't England it's Saracens, I'd expect them to win the second half comfortably.

I think you're absolutely right. However, I'm certain an asteroid will destroy Europe before the Munster v Sarries match goes ahead.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,233 ✭✭✭✭Clegg

This is far too easy for Sarries. They're destroying Glasgow up front and then just waiting for their mistakes to come.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,149 ✭✭✭mangobob

Pains me to say it, but I think we are looking at the champions in waiting here. Sarries on this form are a level above anyone else at the moment.

Yes, that it was a complete one off. Only one 6 nations win and both pro teams out of Europe in their first knockout games. Scottish rugby having an awful start to 2019.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,724 ✭✭✭✭Squidgy Black

Hard to see past Saracens if they can keep that form throughout the next couple weeks.

So it seems. Toulouse win would be a home match for Leinster, if both win, based on seeding. Racing are ranked 2 so they would get home advantage if they win.

Scotstoun also has a plastic pitch, so that's no excuse for Glasgow.

He was talking about Brad Barritt who twisted his knee.

Incredible how two brain farts from Schoeman and Stockdale have likely kept both Munster and Leinster in the competition otherwise Ulster and Edinburgh would be in the SF.

    Small small margins.

That's a marvellous Toulouse try. Phase after phase of offloads and quick pick and goes. Even lost the ball and then counterattacked it back in.

They're a better side. The home factor could be decisive but regardless of who wins, Toulouse would be definite favourites in a neutral venue.

Hopefully Toulouse score again quickly and Racing lose focus.
