Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Toulouse will beat this outfit handily enough, Racing have not been good this season, some of their players looking fat, slow and disinterested.

They're a better side. The home factor could be decisive but regardless of who wins, Toulouse would be definite favourites in a neutral venue.

Hopefully Toulouse score again quickly and Racing lose focus.

Definitely playing the better rugby. But that Racing set move shows how dangerous they can be. Scrum in their own half, a few quick passes wide to Thomas, an offload to a support runner and they're 10 metres from Toulouse's line. All in the space of about 7 seconds.

True but poor defending by Toulouse with the outside man biting in and leaving Thomas alone for the break.

Fixture of the weekend for me. Start is promising. I'm surprised Toulouse dropped Ramos for this one. Will be interesting if they miss a few kicks.

Disappointing missed penalty for Toulouse - they can't afford to blow chances like that.

    Ah intercept by Russell .......again.

    Balls.

Not going to be Toulouse's day.

    This is deadly.

Racing intercept try. Suicidal from Toulouse. They're all over Racing and stretching them all across the pitch. But need to calm down. The trys will come without having to throw 50/50 offloads.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,245 ✭✭✭✭Clegg

    That's high.

    Yellow for that.

Lovely footwork from Zebo, and a wonderful offload as he's going to ground

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,245 ✭✭✭✭Clegg

Pearse is going to send him off.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,616 ✭✭✭✭errlloyd

Man I think it's very, hard for Holmes there. Imhoffs legs are well bent there

    Zebo looking lively.looking fitter.

    Red card for Toulouse.....bummer.

    Red

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,245 ✭✭✭✭Clegg

The ref wanted to know if he was dipping down, which would change red to yellow. Ref sees no mitigating factors, so red card.

It looked to me like the Racing player was dipping tbh.

    Good refereeing

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,076 ✭✭✭✭vienne86

That's dreadful for Toulouse.....and they have been by far the better team IMO.

He was dipping, but gives red anyway.

I wonder was it comms issues. He asked about dipping and Kitt told him about the wrap.

Think a yellow would have been enough but I can understand why it was a red.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,599 ✭✭✭ScrubsfanChris

Direct contact with head/neck = red card
Seems harsh in reality but that's the current law.

  • Registered Users Posts: 24,258 ✭✭✭✭Buer

That's the end of the game so. It's letter of the law stuff but the carrier visibly is dipping into the tackler.

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,230 ✭✭✭A-Train

Game over I would say after the card.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,149 ✭✭✭mangobob

So Racing in France it is then. Balls.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,416 ✭✭✭Dave_The_Sheep

    Can't agree with that one.

I guess my objection is that enforcement of the zero tolerance rule had basically stopped in the last few months. I don't think that call is consistent with what we've seen in recent matches and I don't think it was especially dangerous.

    Bad call

Dupont going to 10.....didn't know he could play 10.

  • Registered Users Posts: 589 ✭✭✭baas baa

Harsh, I'm not sure what other way he could've tackled him in the circumstances.

Shoulder to the throat with no mitigating factors. It was always going to be red.

I think imhoff dipped enough to make it a yellow. So I think there was some mitigation.

Good scrum by Toulouse....with a centre in the scrum.

    Yellow for Thomas....fair enough.

  • Registered Users Posts: 24,258 ✭✭✭✭Buer

No way that yellow is given if the red wasn't given. Referee is going to be very kind to Toulouse I sense.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,245 ✭✭✭✭Clegg

Fair enough yellow for cynical play. Toulouse need to take advantage whole numbers are even.

    So losing a 5m lineout isn't ideal.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,076 ✭✭✭✭vienne86

Bloody great try for Toulouse! Loved that.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,245 ✭✭✭✭Clegg

    Of sweet lord in heaven.

What a try. Toulouse have no structure at all but are the best offloading side on the planet.

Similar to the Beirne one yesterday, cynical play near your line when the opposition team are going forward.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,599 ✭✭✭ScrubsfanChris

I think I need a sit down after watching that!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,998 ✭✭✭leakyboots

    Ridiculous offload!

  • Registered Users Posts: 24,258 ✭✭✭✭Buer

    What a game.

Racing are brutal in defence though.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,905 ✭✭✭yosser hughes

This is a great game so far. Toulouse have been fabulous. Racing not so bad either.

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,230 ✭✭✭A-Train

Toulouse just seem to be getting better and better. It's like organised chaos is their strategy.
