Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Racing are awful.

Racing are so, so poor defensively in their backline. Pathetic from several of them given the importance of the fixture.

Zebo has made zero and missed three, Russell has missed six already!

    Incredible. Everything is incredible.

    Dupont is having a stormer.

Toulouse score two trys with a Racing man in the bin, but also being a man down themselves. Crucial that they concede no points before half time.

And there's the other side of Finn Russell, poor defender.

One of many recently, mind you Racing general defense does not inspire.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,245 ✭✭✭✭Clegg

Toulouse ahead by 9 at half time despite having a man sent off after 20 minutes. Racing don't know how to defend and despite having an extra forward on the pitch they don't seem to being gaining an advantage in the set piece.

    Bonkers game.

Amazing game, fair play to Toulouse and Dupont is a little gem of a player

Has anyone a reliable stream, mine got very choppy there towards the end..

He is fantastic to watch in attack. Brilliant to see him linking with TT and Russell. He's arguably the most naturally gifted attacker of his generation that Ireland has produced.

But he's completely awol on the other side of the ball. When that kick went through for the chase that Vakatawa carried over, Zebo either had no interest or ability to join the chase. Ball went past him and he simply ambled back as others passed him out. It was bizarre. He's the full back.

If it weren't for that intercept in their own 22 Racing would be miles behind.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,245 ✭✭✭✭Clegg

Thank Christ the French national team has crap coaching. Imagine Dupont playing in a side with proper attacking structure.

    Bonkers game.

Most referees would have given a penalty at that final scrum that was reset. Referee is definitely on evening up duty after the red.

Toulouse were pretty gassed at 60 min against us in Dublin weren’t they? Being a man down won’t help that.

Racing not exactly showing a lot to be worried about though...

    Neither did we!

Jesus if Toulouse pull this off I'll have to go back on the sauce in a few weeks.

    Come on Racing.

Bizarre that anyone would be looking to include him in an Irish squad imo.

Looking at the red card again and it's clear Imhoff's knees are bent. Arm actually slides up on contact with the point of the ball. One of those cases where perhaps intent should be considered. For me a yellow would suffice.

That was a completely different kind of game. Leinster defended extremely well and didn't give Toulouse any sort of space to use their offloading game. We dominated possession and territory and strangled the life out of them. It was pretty obvious that Toulouse don't actually have much structure to their attack when the game is slowed down and they can't play at 100mph. It was Leinster's best performance of the season so far. Completely nullifying the strengths of a very dangerous side.

In this one Racing look a mess when not in possession and seem more interested in a free running game rather than building territory. They're playing to Toulouse's strengths. I still expect them to win however. The extra man is just too much of an advantage, especially when at home. They had a few very good attacking chances in the 22 which they fluffed. Can't see that happening for another 40.

    ..

They were gased after 30 mins from what I remember. Was it Famuiaina that day that was walking from scrum to scrum blowing out his hole....

Would much rather face Racing in Paris than Toulouse in the Aviva. Racing are absolutely electric in attack, but have little structure and don't know what defence is.

Indeed. Though I’m not entirely convinced I’d rather be playing Toulouse even in dublin. Putting sexton into the Leinster team and potentially figuring out some way to play Lowe and it’s a different team. Racing’s lack of structure/discipline has to help too.

Definitely a slight dip. Its certainly in that middle ground of yellow and red to me so can see the logic of either card.

A home semi for Leinster would be huge. Even though it would be against arguably the better of these two teams I'd much rather be at home to anyone.

Leinster coaching team in the crowd. Very interesting.

You'd always prefer the home game. We've already taken apart Toulouse once at home. So it's them I'd want. Racing haven't much structure, but neither do Toulouse when you stop them offloading.

Did the Racing player knock that on when he was tackled?

Definitely a forward pass there though.

  • Registered Users Posts: 24,258 ✭✭✭✭Buer

How did the touch judge not call that knock on?!

Toulouse struggling to get momentum or position since the break. Matter of time.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,076 ✭✭✭✭vienne86

    Ah Zebo milked that.

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,230 ✭✭✭A-Train

Nothing in the Zebo tackle and saves his blushes with a knock on.

Who is this mysterious sniper targeting current and former Munster players?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,599 ✭✭✭ScrubsfanChris

Zebo was most likely under the posts there, Toulouse lucky not to concede a penalty try?
