cancelling gas and electricity account

    hi there,

    I will need to cancel the gas and electricity account. would it be possible to call the customer service on a Saturday?

    Also, what information do you need?

    Hi pasquale83,

    Thank you for getting in touch.

    You will find a list of what is required to close an account here.

    Our colleagues in the phone department are available on a Saturday from 8am to 8pm. However, you can submit an Online Form if you prefer. It will take a few working days to complete if you chose to close the account online. Alternatively, you can send me or one of the other Electric Ireland reps a private message on Monday. We would also be able to close the account for you. The move out can still be backdated to Saturday as long as you read the meter on that date.

    If you decide to contact us here on Boards, we will also require your name, address, account number and contact number. You will also need to confirm that you are the Electric Ireland account holder.

    Should you have any other questions in the meantime, please don't hesitate to ask.
