Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

They sell them in Tesco. I've a box of 20 in my freezer right now.

    Might have a cola one.

Are they still made from water, sugar, clothes dye and nuclear waste?

They aren't kept in the freezer in Tesco so you have to wait a few hours when you get home.

Anyone remember the Flintstones Mr freezes you used to get in Tesco/Quinnsworth?
They were half the size of the proper ones and they had a picture of one of the lads on it

They are except for the red ones. They are used polar bear tampons sourced directly from the Arctic circle.

These days, with all this politically correct health and safety nonsense, they're probably not allowed to use nuclear waste.

Those things are the sole reason I had no teeth for my communion.

A lot of them now in Tesco are 'sugar free' versions which taste like crap. Make sure to get the full sugar options!

They spelt Mr Freeze incorrectly. That annoys me...

I remember the jumbo ones that were basically a sugar based baseball bat. Think they were 15p instead of the usual 10p

No, I believe they've removed the water to enhance the flavour

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,300 ✭✭✭✭razorblunt

Dya remember the dodgier corner shops would happily sell them unfrozen, having only just gone in the freezer? It would be like drinking Toilet Duck.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,079 ✭✭✭✭Tom Mann Centuria

The proper ones in corner shops etc. are slightly different from the ones in Tesco.

Amazon sell boxes of the "real" ones.

With all the sugary snacks and sh!te foods there were very few fat kids waddling around the place, unlike now.

I remember years ago a rumour went around that some of them accidentally fermented so me and my mates bought a load of them to try and get scuttered. Didn't work though. So we just went to the pub.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,582 ✭✭✭Padraig Mor

Aldi / Lidl sell their own versions of them.

My fancy version of them is the Calippo, slightly thawed out. At the moment, I've 3 flavours in my freezer; lemon, lime, and cola.

There was the other rumour that if you got the number "10" next to the name you'd get a free one. I think the shop on the corner exacerbated this too by giving them away if they saw a 10. Mostly due to 25 kids buying them for one kid to get the 10!

You have to work the shaft a lot more with a Callipo.

I remember hearing that too. I'm fairly sure it's true. Unless it isn't, in which case it's definitely false.

They usually tasted shyte because half the flavour was your own blood.

    Blue was my favourite.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,417 ✭✭✭ToddyDoody

I didn't really like them but they were the cheapest thing going. Reminds me of the local shop which operated from a shipping container. You can do sexy things with a mr freeze.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,480 ✭✭✭AllForIt

I do believe I can recall when you could get one for 2p which is something I'd rather wasn't the case.
