Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Thankfully for Emery it's the hapless West Ham and Cardiff up next. Already look all over the shop.

    And 2-0.

Nightmare stuff for Arsenal. Really good play by Morata. It makes you wonder why he can be so hapless at times.

Arsenal look worse than last season.

You'd be better off with Adams and Seaman than Mustafi and Cech the latter are that slow.

Why is hazard on the bench?

    Cos it’s only Arsenal.

Xhaka is an awful footballer. There is no excuse for him.

Only back training 2 weeks and not able for 90 according to Sarri himself

Arsenal are useless and still should be 2-2

    Sarri's weird-looking.

He's got the sort of paunch that men of a certain age get, but he has tiny little matchstick arms that look like they're glued on and being operated remotely.

He reminds me of Uncle Junior.

The start of last season was scraping a win at home to Leicester in the dying minutes, losing away to Stoke and then getting stuffed at Anfield.
They were, I think, the worst in the top 6 against the rest of the top 6, getting 6 pts while scoring 10 and conceding 21.

It's a tough start for them but there's a long way to go in the season.

What's Ozil for in a game like this? Maybe he'll create a bit if midfield gets lazy or complacent, but there's so little energy in the attacking half of the pitch for Arsenal. Why isn't Ramsey starting?

Despite Chelsea's dominance, this game should be 2-2. And they were pretty easy chances too.

How on earth are Xhaka, Bellerin and Cech still starting.

    Good strike by Mhktarian.

You'd have to wonder are we just seeing two teams that aren't very good yet.
Chelsea have played some good stuff, but it hasn't been particularly difficult to get at them.

I wonder is Kante being pushed forward a little bit too much.

Whatever the reason, it's entertaining stuff.

Neither team look like they'll be difficult to break down. Giving up chances for fun

I seem to remember Bellerin being highly rated a few years ago. He's making chances and been one of Arsenal's better players. Another decent bit of play for 2-2.

Do they have any other particularly good RB options?

    Chelsea creaking a bit now.

McMananaman and Hoddle were breaking their holes laughing at Arsenal playing out from the back. The build up for the equaliser started from back there and it was excellent and patient. Not a whisper from the lads in commentary about it. Absolute self serving gowls

Arsenal have missed 3 great chances from cutbacks. Make that 4 great chances.

Arsenal are going to rue all those missed chances. They should be (at least) two up by now.

Jesus so many great chances from cutbacks. Arsenal should have scored 5 or 6 by now, not 2.

It’s like a Sunday league match, but great to watch. Nobody deserves to win, but the least sh!te team should prevail.

    First half probably best summed up as;

    Emery out

    Emery back in.

Interesting to see how it finishes.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 20,337 ✭✭✭✭monkey9

It's just one game and very early on in the season, but good God these two have been bad. It's fascinating to watch.

  • Registered Users Posts: 11,611 ✭✭✭✭ERG89

Good vision from Ozil to find the touchline. He's probably the one to drop to play Aubameyang & Lacazette together.

Another anonymous performance by Ozil. He's obviously a talented player, but he doesn't do the business on a regular enough basis.

No idea how he gets away with it. A good game every 3 or so.

    Well deserved win.

Arsenal should have been winning in the 1st half but the faded badly in the 2nd half, Chelsea a much better in this half and Cech kept Arsenal in it.

I think the Kovacic and Hazard changes from the bench were big that quality is hard to compete with.

Happy with the win but the first half was very worrying.

    Arsenal
Chelsea press much better than Arsenal. When they beat the press Chelsea were in trouble though. Think Chelsea dominated the second half and deserved the win.

Ya arsenal gassed badly I feel but we're well in the game at half time.

Arsenal’s high defensive line is going to be the downfall of them this season, their CB’s just are not quick enough. The amount of times that Chelsea played direct balls in behind. Will be widely exploited

Does anyone else genuinely feel sorry for arsenal fans now? I really do. I'm not even going to slag them about it anymore, it's getting repetitive and awkward.

They'll do alright. It's early days for both teams, but moreso Arsenal. First new manager in 22 years, bound to be a culture shock.
