Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

David Silva has been unreal in the first 20 minutes for City. There is very good movement of course and he has the perfect platform to play but he’s a top player and great to watch.

Nice touch with his kid before the game too. Not sure what the outlook is but his health is obviously better then it was a few months ago.

    Was it not offside?

Really poor goalkeeping but brilliantly taken by Aguero.

Can't be offside from a goal kick.

Goal kick ball cannot be offside, just as you cannot be offside inside your own half when attacking.

    2-0 now

Aguero getting a reward there for his anticipation and relentess determination to get to everything.

He should get a hattrick at this rate.

For all of City's dominance, two big goalkeeping errors is the reason they're in front at half time. The second goal might be considered a goalkeeper error too although that might be a bit harsh. Where did they get this keeper?!

Still enjoying the clinical cold annihilation City are making of the EPL under Guardiola. People were gushing over how difficult it would be and making it moreso.

I can't believe there were people saying Bailey was one of the best CBs in the league.

Utd are horrendous at the back.

3 very soft goals to concede this half to Brighton.

United fans, mainly. They're in the same boat re. CBs as we were 18 months back with our lack of decent FBs.

They haven't a decent full back either.

United are in the same situation re FBs too. Maybe Shaw will come good, but Valencia and Young are well past it.

Agree with you re. Valencia. Young is okay-ish, but he isn't going to be around too much longer (33 now). Watching them today, their defence would scare the hell out of you if you were a utd fan.

Utd poor today. Pogba made a YouTube type appearance, not good enough.

Wonder who Jose will blame for this one.

Fully deserved by Brighton it must be said.

Well theyve lost Claudio Bravo for what could be 6 months so if they send both over they might get a 2 for 1 offer. :o

Watched 'The Debate' tonight on Sky Sports. Very good show with Leroy Rosenior and Steve Sidwell talking about the culture shock players face when they retire, very honest from both players. They mentioned a shocking stat that 70% of footballers divorces happen in the first 18 months after they retire. Rosenior is a really good analyst and talker, I enjoy listening to him.

Mourinho turned up 30 minutes early for his press conference and left after 8 minutes, according to reports. Some journos arrived not realising it was over. That's how you do a press conference.

In fairness compelling people to talk to the press is recipe for disaster. I'd nearly feel sorry for him only I don't.

The press have never really liked Mourinho, when hes happy and winning hes a joy at press conferences with a few funny and witty replies and a the odd headline.

When its not going his way, hes short and snappy with all reporters, not just at the pre-match press conferences and its plastered all over the back pages.

The only thing its going to do is give them further ammo and vitriol to write if Utd dont beat Spurs on Monday night.

I've seen it twice with Chelsea and its not ended well for all parties once hes goes down this path but hes got 36 games left to turn it around and whether Utd fans like it or not, rightly or wrongly they'll be written about because they're the biggest club in England and and an easy target, Jose doesn't exactly deflect from that either with some of his behavior but if they get the results, Utd fans wont give a toss.

It's hard to watch grown men acting like spoiled overgrown babies.

He took on a job where dealing with the media is necessary. Maybe unpleasant, but inevitable. If he really can't handle criticism from the public or press, he should take up something he can handle.

I liked Mourinho, but like Martin O'Neill the charm has gone and now he's just a moody old crank hypersensitive to any perceived criticism.
