I am wondering what is the procedure when buy property. I have a bid on a house, someone else is also bidding. We wait and call the auctioneer to see if our bid was accepted to be told the other bidder has increases, he always says he will contact us if there are more bids but never does. Is this the norn

Have you shown them proof that you have the funds, and/or are able to get the funds from the bank? Because if you haven't, they'll probably ignore your bid.
