when they call do they tell you what department and do you have to accept/decline there and then on phone?

I presume you need to then go through vetting/reference check for to even hear about a start date? Which must be a month out minimum.

This is taking longer than i expected. Batch 1.1 Clare/Limerick did interview in October. And i think they called alot more since.

I was told what department and where. I knew I was turning it down but I'd say they would give you a day or two to decide

    Hi Booklad86, how are you?

Where are they on batch 1.3? Which county?

So... Just spoken to Oonagh Perrem on the phone Reacheable at :clearance@publicjobs.ie
She said Cork/Limerick is the fastest board in the country .Early 20s should be processed within the next 4 weeks or so.
If this doesn't happen I will have to contact her again.
Fingers crossed I will deliver positive news shortly.

    Hi Pipi78, how are you?

When you say early 20s, is that in batch 1.1 or is 1.2 or 1.3 for Limerick?

And if you don't mind sharing what number are you or even batch number..

I know everyone is waiting and hoping to get in before Brexit.. So everyone is nervous..

Brexit won't happen in 2 months, it will be delayed.. No one wants it to happen.

But the waiting is terrible ffir the job and call .

Just inquired about Galway - Was told there are 14 ahead of me waiting for positions - My OoM is 18

Just heard that Revenue are taking in 400 extra staff before March due to Brexit. So Limerick should start to move soon.

Revenue in Limerick usually bring in people in March and September. So I'd guess we'll be hearing soon

Are holidays that you have booked ever an issue? We've booked a week away for the end of March. If I tell them this when I get the call will it be an issue?

From reading the 2016 thread I think it depends on where you are placed. Revenue has a fair wack of training at the start as far as I know. You'd probably have to catch up. Saying all that I'm far from an expert.

but if they offer you something and you say you've a weeks holiday booked could that mean them giving the job to someone else?

    Hi there

I am not long with CS and I’m wondering what my maternity rights are. My hospital is roughly 4 hour journey return for appointments, will I get the full day off or will I need to return to work after? I expect it would take between 5-6 hours between app and travel time
    Thanks T

Hey , check out citizens information.ie , it explains your entitlements under the statutory maternity act. I’d imagine you might have to return to work after the 6 hours to finish out your day, no harm in running it by your EO, I’d you are in a position to reveal your pregnancy but you are entitled to take time for appointments and include travel time.

Also concerned about this, hope I'm far down the panel enough that it won't effect me too much.

    Hey Noseyaf,

How are you? Thanks for the info..

Do you know what group they are on on Batch 1?

    Is it 1.1, 1.2 or 1.3?

Because from reading the messages here, there can be more the 1 number 13 for example.

    There can be a 1.1 13, a 1.2 13 & 1.3 13...
I think that is how it works. I am open to corrections & learn how the batch numbers work ..

    But I am 1.3..

Hi guys , I think you are right there , you can be number 1 in your batch , but there is still all the batches before you to get through before the reach you which can be a bit confusing when you don’t know how many are in the previous batches

Open to correction on that though ! but that’s how it seems the comp is running

    Hi Samsgirl,

Thanks for the reply.. I think there are 3 groups. I don't know how many are in each group..

    But I am 1.3..

No probs, just checked again and I'm actually 16, not 12. So am LK_B1.2 number 16.

As mentioned back in August/September for Dublin, Wexford and Cork only. The CO in customs trade faciliation unit, is shift work (no flexi time), you wear a customs uniform and are involved in physical searches of consignmenta at ports and airports.

I wonder are they still pulling from the old panel?

Yeah i am in the top 4 and i was in touch with clearance earlier in the month and they told me that "it may be a few weeks till they reach my place" . And i'm in Batch 1.

    So now i'm very confused!

You maybe included in the 4 "waiting for positions" just that they haven't finished the clearance yet.

In saying that, it mightn't be any harm to check in with them again.
