Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Hi, I got email 2weeks ago that I was successful at stage 2 and my OOM is 51 for Limerick batch 6. I was told they have only started calling from batch 5 for Limerick, does anyone know how long it would take to be called to interview would there be many in each batch?
    Thanks!

When you complete vetting and give your references, when should you hand in your notice when you dont have a start date

Any update for Kildare? Have they started placing batch 2.2 yet?

  • Registered Users Posts: 14 Star333

They are on 1.4 number 7 for Kildare. They are about to offer that position.

They seem to have been finishing off 1.4 for a while. There is 5 in 2.1 as far as I am aware and then 21 in 2.2

I think there is only 2 or 3 left to be placed in 1.4. Last time I called PAS I was told those people had deferred due to distance.

  • Registered Users Posts: 14 Star333

    There are 8 in 1.4

  • Registered Users Posts: 14 Star333

Sorry confusing. After 7 is placed there is only one left in 1.4.
Thats what they told me anyway.

Do you have to do interviews for both counties you pick? I have done interviews for donegal and been called for leitrim now. I thought it was 1 interview that covers both????

One interview covers both unless they relate to different competitions? Are you in more than one?

What do you mean? Normally it expires 2 years after the first appointment was made in any area. No?

When I asked PAS, this is the reply I received:
Panels are generally live for 1.5 years, so it will likely end sometime next year. There is no fixed date as of yet.

I'd imagine that a new campaign would need to be advertised before this can expire, however that could happen by March

Is that definite? Was the first appointment made in Oct 2018? It normally lasts for 2 years.

Does anyone know has a 2nd batch been called for Mayo yet. They have reached 22 on the first batch out of 30 on it. You would think the next batch would have been brought to stages 2 and 3?

    Thank you

I got a call today for Galway seeking references and said a link would be sent for Garda Vetting.
Haven’t gotten the link yet but I’m sure it’s on the way.

Does anyone know do you choose or are you asked a suitable start date or are you just given one?

I think it takes 8 weeks to get Garda Vetting and once that is done then you get the start date

Vetting takes less than 2 weeks unless its for the guards or prisons which takes up to 3 months from what I've seen here. When i got call for revenue they offered a start date that didnt suit me so they gave me a latter one.
