Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

It's only the league cup, no biggie. If he does something like that in the league or the ecl you take action.

Are you serious? It's a cup final in the national stadium on live TV.

Do that at training and you should be spending the next few weeks with the reserves. Utter disrespect.

Wed night will answer all,if he disobeyed Sarri he won't be in the squad, only if Sarri is still the manager:)

Why do you think the context of the competition changes the disrespect of the act?

The act is the act, whether it was a league, cup, preseason match, or behind closed doors in training.

Play was stopped, at very least go over to the touchline and speak to the man. Don't just wag your finger and ignore his instruction.

?? Kepa should be known hes available in the summer

He should be left to languish without playing in the U-19s for as long as his contract allows, years if needs be. 70 million be damned. They're not going to get a fraction of it anyway after that dispay so might as well cut the loss.

But this is a total overreaction the other direction.

He did completely the wrong thing. He should be punished with a fine, a public apology, and maybe being dropped for a game or two. That's enough.

looked more like a misunderstanding than anything, Sarri seemed to confirm this after, it looked worse than it was imo
there's certainly a lot more player power than before, you just have to look at Chelsea, Utd and Leicester, in fact any club where some players don't like the manager

Even if it was a misunderstanding, Sarri certainly didn’t think so at the time as was proven by his reaction. And he allowed himself to be disrespected in that way. He’s clearly struggling to assert himself with this squad so this episode, misunderstanding or not, will do him no favours.

It wasn't a misunderstanding. It went on for minutes. Sarri wanted him substituted. Kepa said he was okay to play on. Sarri still wanted him substituted, Kepa stayed on the pitch. No misunderstanding, everyone in the stadium could see what was going on. Mental gymnastics to justify this.

Does anybody actually think it was just a misunderstanding?

I'd be confident that Sarri's comments about it being a misunderstanding are just for the public eye (and he's right to smooth it out as much as he can publicly) and I'm sure his private comments have been and will be very very different.

The fact that their didn't seem to be any communication between the doctor and sarri during the whole thing the explanation sounds bizzare

Not sure about misunderstanding, but certainly think it's being made out to be a far bigger deal than it was. Player wants to play, insists he is not injured, has happened for as long as people have kicked a ball.

It more usually happens the other way around, a player is found to be wrong, such as McAteer going to a World Cup, Lindgard coming on yesterday when clearly that was wrong. And think that is far more damaging than a player correctly saying they were fit enough to carry on.
