    Hi,
My laurel tree looks a bit ill - any suggestions?

It needs to be cut back a bit one way or the other

Cut it back, add nitrogen and iron to the soil in a water-based mix, yellow leaves usually a sign of deficit.

That is no laurel, it is a lovely magnolia grandiflora. Be careful not to cut it back too much.

It's normal enough for the older leaves to yellow and fall as the new leaves develop, but a good feed is no harm anyway.
