Yeah I reckon he'll get a goal or two today, hope so, I just don't like to see him being overhyped by the press/yob crowd though cause if he makes a mistake they'll shít all over him afterwards

I tink you mean "coming home".

how is that any different from any other football song, like "You'll never beat the Irish", which due to Ireland's obvious omission from this world cup, is blatantly not true.

That JOE.ie style banter from the Ireland fans was absolutely contrived to the hilt. Filming themselves cleaning up after sessions when they wouldn't dream of doing the same at home.

Why is the first go to English accent always one that's somewhere between Albert Square and Basildon, aren't there such things as Mancs, Scousers, Lancastrians, Yorkshire people and Bristolians?

Do people in Cork, Wexford or Donegal talk like Nidge out of Love/Hate?

There are. You'll find them packing out pubs across Ireland every weekend when United and Liverpool are playing.... but they'll have been born and raised here.

Desperately cringeworthy rubbish. Glad we are not being subjected to the sound antics of Irish supporters.

You should bet on England to win. that way if they lose, fair enough, but if they won, you'd get a few bob to soften the blow of hearing about it everyday for the next 50 odd years...

England have no chance of winning the World cup. Their delusional fans won't even be able to do their usual smashing up of whatever city they eventually meet their exit as those psycho Russian fans taught them a thing or two about hooliganism in the last Euros.
Oh schadenfreaude Schadenfreude where for art thou.

    God save our old tom-cat,
feed him on bread and fat,
    God save the cat.
Send him all kinds of mice,
    fat, juicy, extra nice,
and keep him free from lice,
    God save the cat!

    Wow, you’re funny.

So half time and it's 0-0

    How does it work lads?

Finishes 0-0 or lose to Belgium = Ah sure they couldn't even beat a team of subs ffs how useless!

Finishes (let's say) England win 1-0 = ah sure they beat a team of subs ffs the Belgians didn't even put on a decent side!

Fans singing Rule Brittania and they’re shocked then that nobody likes them. Honestly I’d support England if they didn’t revel in this imperialistic sh*t but they just can’t help themselves.

And just the kind of arrogant bull they would get up to. You know, maximising their chances coolly with their long tradition of going deep in World Cups and all that. Getting knocked out then by Colombia would be so fkn sweet. After Germany's dire performance that would almost reconcile me with this World Cup.

(sorry I quite like England just not their soccer team and its really just harmless but juicy rivalry, nothing personal;) )
