So yet another gym has closed down in Lucan/Surrounding Area

Such a shame as there really isn't much choice about here. Would have thought there is enough demand for a decent gym in the area with a pool.

Westmanstown and Stewarts is still there. Think big gyms will become a thing of the past.

    Chauffe, Marcel, chauffe!

Big gyms with pools quickly became a thing of the past at the start of the recession as nobody wanted to or could pay the €700 per year unlimited membership that was the norm around 2007

The boom is back, I'd say plenty of people would pay that again now for a luxury gym with 25m pool / sauna / etc. How much is Westmanstown these days?

Boom is back but people are more into crossfit and outdoor activities these days

Stewarts location wise would be great, gym is nice and quiet but my God the shallow end of pool is just too shallow. And the hours available to swim are so restricted.

DCC in Ballyfermot has a very small gym but pool is lovely.

Westmanstown is a bit out of the way but may take a trip up there for a gander.

Will also have a look at Clondalkin during the week.

Last time it had very dated equipment all piled on top of each other and pool overrun by kids staying in hotel. But will check again before committing anywhere.
