Some drops of rain in Carlow, would hardly wet the path but rain none the less  ;)

I think we need to coin a new term in the same vein as snow tourist.

tempted to drive down from Dublin to be a rain tourist!

Where can I buy a portable A/C unit?

I’ll sell you mine in about 10 days time;)

Seriously though I got one on Viking direct before the heatwave, has been a god send!

Met Eireanns rainfall radar showing absolutely nothing. One of the lead stories in the Irish times saying that Gerald Fleming of met eireann has said looks like little if any rain for the next 10 days!

That's a real pity if that forecast is accurate.
I hope we get a deluge of rain eventually

What's the outlook for next week? Debating whether or not to take a few days off work towards the end of the week to catch some of the good weather...

The looks you get when you say there's a big heatwave coming because some people on the internet said so.

Drove from a cloudless Wexford, cloud building between Bunclody and Carlow, currently in Meath and the cloud that had 'followed' me up is burning off.
Any chance if any of a bit of moisture or thunder is gonna be further south.

I just hope the pollen count goes down. I am absolutely driven crazy with hay fever. It's so bad it's coming across more like an extremely bad head cold. My nose is running, sinuses throbbing with a bad headache and I've developed a bad cough!

I took antihistamines and a steroid nasal spray and it's only helped a bit. I've literally had to resort to sitting in the car as the AC and pollen filters really helped!

Never had hay fever like this before. Absolutely miserable stuff.

Sorry Edgecase it's so hard for you, hopefully some more humid weather will lower counts soon.

Hosepipe ban now nationwide Friday onwards.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,003 ✭✭✭Lucreto

One of the houses near where I work in Ballsbridge just finish getting the front garden landscaped. They brought in rolls of green grass and they have been watering it up to the hose pipe ban.

It doesn't look good with the the surrounding houses with dying grass and theirs as green as it could be.
