Is there any official weather station just to the east of Ballybunnion in that deep red colour for tomorrow?
If so the temp record has a chance at being broken tomorrow.

Ardfert climate station is smack bang in the middle of that hotspot.

This has probably been mentioned already but what is the record high temperature for Cork city or county and is there a chance of that record being broken in the next few days?

I got a new temperature sensor about 2 years ago after it had stopped working, a new rain gauge last year.
Yesterday it reached 29.6C at 16:33. It is already reporting 29.5C. The record for the station is from July 2013 when it recorded 29.7C.

I'd well believe your records as Kilkenny is a known hotspot. Dry ground is a known factor on temp influence as well.

What I like about the new sensor is that regarding relatively humidity, it is more or less spot on across all ranges. My older sensor always gave somewhat more conservative readings relative to the closest official stations (which aren't that close at all ) but the new one picks up on the tiniest of changes in the atmosphere, which, on a nerdy personal level, I find fascinating to watch as a front, or even a shower is moving in. :o

Not one that reports hourly, the nearest is Shannon. I can report from West Clare but it's not official data.

Currently 27.8c in West Clare, and it's been more or less between 27.5 and 27.8 for the last half an hour.

25.1c here RH = 45℅ , up from 23.2c 30mins ago. Just some bits of high cloud left but mainly burnt off now. I think somewhere will record 32c before the evening cool off, at official stations maybe 30-31c.

Slight sea breeze has picked up in last few minutes.

Typical, we wait 140 years to break the Irish record and when we do we go and break the European record too. Athens had the record but I always would have seen Nenagh as Europes real answer to Death Valley.

    Road temperature, not air!

Just reached 28.0c here in West Clare, RH: 38%.
