Danno at 26.9c already in Durrow! I’ll be shocked if we don’t break 30c in a few spots today.

So Irish men aren't allowed wear tracksuits because they're scummy.

Shorts because we're hairy or take off our tops.

No thanks, you can repeatedly unstick your balls from your legs if you want to wear pants in this heat. The rest of us will stick to appropriate clothing for the temperatures.

Let the people like the heat. Let the people dislike the heat. Let the people wear what they want. Please just stop, I don't tell you what to wear. Ridiculous comments.

Absolutely disgusting weather, impossible to enjoy since going outside means almost certain death.

Which part of the Sahara are you in? Cause if you mean Ireland with that comment we will have millions of deaths today!

23.8C currently in Castlebar, around the same as this time yesterday except the humidity has been tripled.

calm down, nobody was telling you what to wear. This heat is making people testy and paranoid.

Hoping we get some nice thunderstorms later in the week, now that's my second favourite weather type after blizzards.

Technically you were by saying there's no excuse for men to wear shorts bar sports. I don't play sports and I'm wearing shorts because it's warm.

Now, I will go out and enjoy the heat. According to you, I won't come back even though I have for the past few days after being out in it.

Ok so, we’ve come to a consensus that its fairly hot at the moment, can anyone say with any degree of certainty when we might get some rain???

Hard to say. Maybe Monday or Tuesday. Whether it amounts to much is another matter and it would like be showery in nature.

GFS was teasing some heavy rain for Sunday night for the Dublin area, but it seems to have largely abandoned that idea sadly.

Whatever your feeling on the heatwave, I think we can all agree that the occasional rainfall is absolutely needed, and there doesn't seem to be much of that on the outlook for the east in the next week.

Got to 27.3C, now back down to 26.6C.
I wonder how far out my 30.8C yesterday was? But I expect it to be broken today.

Plenty of grown men wearing shorts yesterday in Dublin on packed trains for the evening commute. Also the odd person carrying a stupid heavy anorak like they were expecting a blizzard, but if it makes them happy lets not judge. :P

It is very hot very early across the country today. Interesting afternoon ahead for temperature watching.
