Just wondering if anybody out there has an idea of the cost of a fixed hardwood timber window Vs the cost of an operable (e.g. tilt & turn) hardwood timber window. For arguements sake let's say the windows are 1x1.5m.

Any info on window cost and percentage differences would be appreciated. I haven't contacted any companies yet but I'd imagine they won't give individual window costs, just an overall quote.

Ballpark figures would be grand if anyone has any idea!

    Cheers!

Don’t know the answer re difference in costs

But note building regs require openable sections in habitable rooms for means of escape. They are also handy for purge ventilation.
