Who is the coolest person in the world that if you didn’t know them you’d think they were some sad act. Maybe avoid them.

I’m going for black Francis from the pixies. If he sat beside you on the bus in his prime and you didn’t know him you would think he was on the way back from collecting some sort of welfare. But in fact he is the man who wrote some of the greatest songs of all time. Inspired a lot of the grunge stuff Kurt Kobain etc and yet I could picture him getting on the bus clutching a bag for life full of junk smelling of pee.

There’s a guy I see some mornings cycling through Ranelagh... he’s an Indian looking man, into his 50’s I’d say with a huge long grey beard that flows and splits in the wind. He’s damn cool looking.
