Student Loan

    Hi,

I got one of the student 1% loans just before Christmas last year and I've been making the repayments this year.

Unfortunately, since I finished college last month I've finished working part time and am waiting to begin working full time as a graduate in my field. Because of the lapse in income I think I've missed a payment.

I was wondering if it was possible to defer this payment (and next months most likely) until I start working again. I think I've 5/6 repayments left but in lieu of deferring I'd be happy to cut it down to 1/2 larger payments and clear the loan sooner.

    Hi rr1234,

    Thanks for your post.

With the 1% Student Loan it is usually just the first three months that you would be able to defer the payments on. Please get in touch with our Repayments team on 1850 222 200 and they will be happy to check if this would be possible.

    Thanks,
    Sarah
