My wife has an EU full licence and is exchanging it for an Irish one.

MY car insurance is due in the next few weeks and shes a name driver on it.

What happens if her Irish licence isn't back in time?

Do I declare an Irish or EU licence?

Just to clarify. When I renewed last year it was 200 cheaper With an Irish licence.
Quoted 789 for a 10 year old car.

On application for Irish license you should have got the drivers number. That is the driving license number.

    Declare Irish.
