Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

players who have been in recent camps, plus a few lads who could get in if they get healthy.

Ryan Lomas played tighthead for Wegians yesterday. Oran McNulty was named to start at 15 but didn’t play, not sure if he’s injured.

McNulty is u19, I know he’s highly rated but would he be good enough to get ahead of some of the lads a age grade above? Believe Hugh lane is injured also

I believe is was 38-17 to Ireland. 'understand it was a good competitive game and that there were few standouts . Fewer mistakes and errors than you would expect from groups that have been cobbled together. Irish players seemed noticeably bigger but Leinster had (minor ) edge on speed and mobility.

another match next week, giving coaches a chance to look at others especially those on the wrong side of 50/50 call this week, eg Turner maybe, Clarkson definitely. camp again for the rest immediately after Christmas. at least 3 players not involved who should a WC - Penny and two Ulster backs . so not too much to be read into selections

I think Baird is supposed to be one of the standout forwards, but these games are more about getting a look at as many players as possible. And if you’re referring to jack dune, he’s overage.

They try minimise the leinster player playing leinster and the munster players playing munster. To try strengthen the opposition, reduce opposition familiarity and so on.

I see that front row factory from Roscrea is still churning out the players.

Who is Ryan Lomas was he substitute for the Roscrea SCT last season?

    Michael Milne and Josh Wicherely

    not exactly a factory.

especially when both of them were poached from the club game.

Blackrock is a front row factory.

3 Irish players from one SCT year is a factory. That and the amount of heifers they have produced in the front row over the years even if they didn't make provincial and international set ups.

two of which they recruited from club teams at 15/16. it might be a factory if they developed them from day 1, they didn't.

who? they've had two other irish u20s in the front row this decade, neither of whom were especially good.

your basically saying Roscrea have been good at producing big props who have nothing other than their size going for them as rugby players. fantastic.

Good point. Most of them have been imports. But you can't deny that they have turned out some hefty packs over the years particularly front row forwards be they imports or not.
