Can a dealer sell a car which is not road worthy? https://www.donedeal.ie/cars-for-sale/toyota-vitz-automatic-2011/25763762

87000 miles is roughly 139k km. I wonder was it inputted wrong on someone's system

Making a whole ad and video calling them out? Looks to be clearly an honest mistake on behalf of the NCT/Owner.

Could still be clocked. A very common thing to do among a certain group of people is to clock it from the milage number to the same number in KMs.

Yes very true and if ever questioned they could simply blame the NCT tester. And the NCT won't have any proof that an error occurred, as the owner is supposed to check. And do we all really check if the miles recorded is km or miles ? No, we're just happy to get out of there for another 2 years.

Therefore, the seller of the Audi could be taking advantage of this situation.

The creator of the video could've owned the Audi before therfore is passionate about it and knows the true mileage to be over 100k miles.

Nothing special just a few extras for it's time like the front fogs, sun roof and three piece spoiler. Don't know what it's worth but on UK reg.

Looking for opinions on the xc90, I've always liked the look of these, I know the tax is a killer. I need something under 5k for daily short commute 21k each way, bit of farming, nothing off road but would be carting few cattle around.

It just goes to show how badly white carried on cars from that era. Many modern cars look great in white, that just looks dreadful. The other big negative is that it's an automatic, whatever about modern cars, back in the 90s you definitely wanted a manual on non-premium cars if you were interested in going anywhere at more than walking pace.

Fine car for 5k. Have owned a V70 with the same engine (2.4 D5). Its a cracker !! Savage power and wasn't too thirsty either (you might get 30mpg)

Its a big Volvo though, soo its not a taut handling sports car and not a cheap car to run either (tax is €1200 per year, parts etc. are expensive too) ...which might explain why they are soo strangely cheap to buy 2nd hand.

For comparison ....a €5000 Toyota Land Cruiser.... will have mileage akin to a lunar space probe and be soo shamefully abused....you probably wouldn't want to be even seen in it.

Really? White on that carina looks grand. Quite a desireable colour on a clean one actually. The black door handles let it down slightly though.

At least that one is on the €1034 rate. The ones from later 08 on are €1200

The autoboxes wouldn't be the strongest in them and the 4wd system isn't too tough either and volvo parts tend to be pricey.

But that said the 2.4 d5 engine is a great lump and they're a grand comfy way to tip about. 2250kg towing capacity too.

Serious piece of kit. Didn't even realize such a monster existed.

But its not a car that has a natural market.

Its too boring as a weekend car for blasting around and too ruinously expensive in running costs to use as a regular car.

Needs Alternator ... lets call that €500 job, engine bay looks to have had a coolant spill (engine has over heated at some point) and has a good bit of rust (Seaside living??).

Big tax, 20mpg and its something like 270bhp with only front wheel drive....soo expect wild torque steer and front tyres that will last you about 1 week !!

When the ad says needs alternator it means it probably needs 10 other things.

    Or 15 ;)

    Always.

Apparently it's in Arklow and can be viewed tomorrow.

Weird how none of the photos are taken in Ireland and still on NA plates.

The seller also said the following

next week should have ZV plates , went to VRT but no such model in their data base and they have to enter all data manually (up to 10 working days)
bought in Poland on 16th of September , drove over 2000 kilometers to Cherbourg France then Ferry to Dublin
all photos are actual just one from the wedding is older
it has valid certificate of roadworthiness so will be transfered to NCT till september 2021
that was a show car in Poland just used in Summer on classic car shows
