That car was around the corner from me for years and owned by an older gent. I'd say it was genuine but the owner is definitely not in Listowel. Smells of part time dealer but the car would be right I would imagine.

Yeah, I think it was traded in to O' Callaghans in Kanturk very recently,
    Its 100% genuine.

It’s about 600% overpriced. I’d guess O’Callaghans had it costing them €250 max.
I wonder what it came in against. Hybrid RAV4 or a CHR would be my guess.

I'll stroll by the house and see later.

I remember when this was posted last year, the original owner was selling it for near enough €4k and wasn't half being lambasted for it..I think it lasted all of two days on donedeal before it was sold

The 323 could be a good buy.

330 is gonna be a hard sell being saloon.

Jesus no, the lower powered 2.5, non-sport, 9 owners, it's a nice car but I'd take the 330i over it any day at those prices. 3k is too rich for one of those.

The cabriolet will appreciate in value in a few years time. The saloon will end up in the crusher.

It's a clean low owner Irish manual 330i saloon!

Not a fear it'll be sent for scrap. I'd be confident it'd be the more valuable of the two if we were to check back in 10 years time when both are vintage.

I've always found cabriolets to be the least-appreciating of any body style to be honest

Look at Mk1 Golfs, classic Saab 900, even E30s etc...the tiptop counterpart is always worth more

Wonder what it would be worth in the UK?
There would be no VRT refund due either way, but I can’t see anyone in Ireland buying that unless they plan to mothball it for the next 11 years and hope the classic tax/insurance system survives.

It should be classic insurance eligible next year so that'd go someway to keeping running costs down.

Garage it for 6 months and then tax and drive it for the summer.

Plenty doing the above with 2.5 e36's.

They're both at their lowest point pretty much value wise. It's always bigger engine coupes / cabs that appreciate as they teach towards classic status. Saloons - not so much.

Who wants a 4 door 3 Series as a classic car?

The question you should be asking is who wants a manual 330i e46 mtec as a classic though.

If it was a 318i saloon I'd be agreeing with ya but it isn't.

Those e46 330i’s are an absolute blast to drive. Would love that!

323ci wouldn't be particularly fast but the 330i I would take in a heartbeat despite the tax. The engine is pure magic to listen to. Can you even buy a new straight 6 na anymore? A bit of a sleeper as well.

And I am one of them, taxed it today as it happened, had forgotten just how sweet that inline 6 sounds when pushed on.

    Is the M2 still a I6 NA?
