It looks class, but you can just imagine the kind of person who bought that new in 2011.

Retired teacher. Beige slacks, an itchy jumper and wearing a pair of these

With an old 940 estate outside, to be traded in!

Which begs the question what did he buy next?

    C6 for €999

Running and driving with claimed full history. Needs a handbrake

    What could possibly go wrong?

I'd say it has the newer B47 engine as the motor tax is €200 whereas the older N47 engines with the timing chain issues were €270. The "upgraded" gearbox is the same ZF8 automatic gearbox found in them all. The only difference being that there are paddle shifts on the steering wheel of the Sports version. And all 5 Series had eco pro, comfort and sport profile settings since late 2012. Also that car is a SE but somehow has 19" M Sport alloy wheels fitted probably by it's previous owner. It's got a few extras on it but 18k is a bit expensive for a 6 year old 520d SE and that particular dealer has a good few 5 Series for sale and they are all priced on the high side too.

Thank you Bazz26. I tought its expensive alright. What I should look for in 5 series to have?I like the big screen and black interior. Aftet that I have no clue. Is it possible to get 3 ltr one for around 20 k mark?

Depends on what your into really. The SE version is fairly conservative styled and tend to be cheaper than M Sport models which are more aggressively styled with larger wheels and tend to be more sought after. The big screen was an optional extra on them all but well worth it as they also come with a built in hard drive to store your music collection. 20k would probably get you a decent 530d from the UK, possibly a 2015 model.

Originaly was looking for fl a6 full black edition. But 20 k will not get me one. Turned attention to 5 series as they bit cheaper. M series would be great also black trim and interior and big screen. 530 d suffering from timing chain issues?

Thanks Bazz26. That does not sound promising. Thank you for advice.

I've owned a few 520ds and now a 530d, the 520d is a perfectly adequate daily car for most people. You are still getting 190bhp and close to 50mpg from them. If you go 2015 onwards you will definitely get the newer engine that doesn't have timing chain problems.

Nice spec on this M Sport:

Have this one saved. But Sarsfield motors does not have best reputation. Black front grill is stock on some models? Or its wrapped ?
Will check north to when the places will open.

Black grill would just be after market, they can be bought off ebay for about €50 or €60 and are a DIY fit.

And improper wheels on it. Would have being nice to get a bit more detail on the car from the seller in the ad.
Unbelievable the Ford were still using only 5 digit odometer that stage.

Puma is very cool for the money.

Is that a scuff or rot on the drivers side rear arch? They were prone to rotting from the inside out around there.

Yeah some parts from here and there as per pictures but I always loved puma desing concept
Plus afaik that engine came with the hand of yamaha contribution

Not that one the more powerful 1.7 and rarer engine did.

Just copped the Puma is a 1700 which is a big plus factor over a 1.3

It's a uk car though and 2 years out of NCT so my final guess is it's (obviously) 125k miles which isn't a huge issue but it's almost certainly got terminal rust.

Might be a handy fixer upper. Worse than that though, there's a fairly well worn looking tow bar on it. You'd look well towing a horse box with that yoke.

That does look pretty shook. And ten owners! Cheap though

I’d say with a wash and hoover, and some decent pictures you could nearly justify an asking of 800, future classic, you’re not a petrolhead unless Alfa etc...

Some machine! 80bhp according to wiki from a 1.2 3 cylinder that isn't too bad all things considered.

Changed owner after the test ran out wonder was it garaged or just laid up.

No price usually means strong money is being sought too :pac:

Haggle and you might get it for 80c.

Just need to ditch the poxy gauges and holders for something a bit better.
