Still just can't stop playing Tekken 8. It's infuriating at times (words cannot describe how much I hate Jack-8.... even with some of the other bullsh*t some characters can pull, Jack-8 is the worst), but man when you get deep into the combat and start flowing nicely with your character, even if you lose it can just be such a joy to play. Winning is better though.

I do kinda want to give it up and move on to Infinite Wealth, but I'll lose so much muscle memory...

Really enjoying Outer Worlds at the moment

Finished up Uncharted 2. Was very enjoyable in the end, even if it get repetitive, there is a lot of variety in the action scenes and environments. And that train sequence in the middle of the game is outstanding. And it's a relatively short game. +100 for short games.

The Outer Worlds. About 5 hours in and absolutely loving it, had to drag myself away from it at midnight last night.

I've just started Metro Last Light Redux and I'm loving it so far albeit early days. I've already played Metro 2033 Redux so have a grasp of what's going on from the previous story.

Started Spider-Man 2. Just doing some side stuff as I go so not too far into the story

My brain: "Stop playing Tekken. Stop playing Tekken. For the love of God stop playing Tekken!"

*gets to highest rank yet on Tekken*

    My brain: "F*ck!"

Still playing Jedi Survivor now and again. Kind of tired of it at this stage, but nearly finished the main story. If you like Star Wars I'd say you'll love it.

Forspoken. Apart from the usual open world problems and taking time to get started, I'm liking it.

Some noticeable issues with delays in dialogue ending and the next part beginning. Could be standing for 5-10 seconds before can control the character again.

Pushing the story along in Uncharted 3. It's a good game and it's so easy to drop in and out of.

Finished Tunic yesterday. Took me a little time to get into it as the game doesn’t really tell you what to do, but once I got going I loved it.

I finally got around to finishing CyberPunk 2077 Phantom Liberty DLC. I got side tracked with Helldivers 2 and holidays.

I love CyberPunk 2077 and the DLC is great. Two Thumbs up from me.

Trying to figure out what to start next so I downloaded Kena, I will give it a bash this evening.

Started Elden Ring the other day. What fresh hell is this??? No clue what’s going on!

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,972 ✭✭✭El Gato De Negocios

    Rise of the Ronin.

Played about 3 hours yesterday, enjoying it. It's essentially Far Cry set in fuedal Japan but I'm a bit of a whore for that franchise so don't mind. Combat is good and meaty and the story so far is interesting. Visually it's a little disappointing and can look a bit grainy / pixilated by times so I'm going to fiddle with the settings to see if I can improve that.

I'm playing with the Japanese dialogue and it's much more immersive. Also, there is are settings that allow you to shorten the time you need to hold a button down to confirm an action and you can also set it to do an automatic pickup of loot / items which is a really welcome mechanic.

I’ve played about 3 hours of Elden Ring. I think I’m done. Before that I sunk over 240hrs into Skyrim

That's my fear with Elden Ring too. Definitely will try it ... one day.

Finished Spiderman 2 main game. Enjoyed it a lot. It really is an incredibly polished and technical showpiece for PS5. Seemed long enough for me too. Not sure why people complain it's short.

I've gone back to the Last of us part 1 PS5 version. Great game, but I think I should have been scavenging more for resources early on as I've **** all and barely upgraded anything. Maybe I'll restart it.

Finished TLOUp1 on PS5. Brilliant game. Was going to take a long break between that and part 2 ... Now playing part 2 🤣

Was just playing Astro Bot for the new content. Didn't realise it wasn't all added. Only 2 so far. And don't know how anyone would find them without a guide unless they spent a lot of time.

playing a heap of monster hunter rise - streaming to my steam deck while herself is watching Bridgerton

Started God of War Ragnarok Valhalla last night.

    Got as far as

And beat Tyr before turning it off.

  • Registered Users Posts: 33,677 ✭✭✭✭Penn

Absolutely loved the Valhalla DLC. Really made me start using the other weapons more for different runs and realising I'd played the main game just relying on a few moves all the time, whereas there's so much utility in some of the weapons and skills that can really change how you play. I mostly just used the Blades of Chaos for crowd control in the main game, but when specced right it can do huge damage to single targets too.

  • Registered Users Posts: 29,084 ✭✭✭✭CastorTroy

I'm mainly using the blades as well since they have a long reach and also useful for flying enemies since don't have to aim
