    My Claude Butler levante 8 speed shifter needs to be replaced due to internal wear.
    It's OE is Shimano 2200 series sti.
    Do I need to replace with the exact same or will any 8 speed shifter work?
    Can anyone recommend a reasonable budget replacement please?

    Any shimano 8 speed shifter will have the same cable pull ratio.
