Virginia Tech @ Florida State should be a close game tonight. Interesting to see how Willie Taggart gets the home side playing, and how Francois looks after this injury.

Though already feels like I'm already fighting a losing battle in staying awake for it.

Absolutely fantastic drive from VT to start the game.

FSU offense had no answer for that Hokies defense having said that Murray's TD should have been a TD. He clearly was on top of the defender as he went into the endzone.

FSU were hosting Kayvon Thibodeaux last night too. He's the #1 ranked recruit in the country, and one of the most hyped defensive ends of the last decade. Couldn't have picked a more pathetic performance to have him come visit during!

I can safely say I've never seen a formation like this before...

Ha, thanks Jamarcus, I always love these posts after the weekend. Cheers for doing them.

I had to watch that way too many times before I realised what was happening. Glad I wasn't playing D on the play.

You hear people saying that LSU seem to have a steady stream of WRs who do well in the NFL but LSU never seem to get the best out of them...

Flash in the pan or the beginning of Coach O proving the doubters wrong, will be fascinating to find out...

If O could cut out the lows (like Troy) he'll be fine... He's already beaten some good teams and seems to have no problem getting the team ready for the big games.

That's why I feel they've a great chance at Auburn. They'll be up for it...

The WR's are good this year but young... I think you'll see them use Giles and the tight ends more in the coming games as they're WR's gain experience.

Great to see this one back. It won't be anything near the scoreline but this never gets old. What a team that was.

Any recommendations what to watch today? Not a stellar lineup on paper, until the USC Stanford game later

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 828 ✭✭✭JaMarcus

Week 2 is always fairly poor.

Mississippi State @ Kansas State is the pick of the early kickoffs, with Duke @ Northwestern also being sneaky good.

Georgia @ South Carolina, Clemson @ Texas A&M and USC @ Stanford are the only other standout games. Penn State @ Pitt could be a shootout.

    Watching Mississippi v kansas

I always get the fear watching one game that another game is better.

UCLA 7-0 up on Oaklahoma early. Oak are 30 point favourites.

South Florida v G Tech looks to be heading to the wire...

Great last drive by the Sth Florida QB

Colorado/Nebraska is a cracker. Nebraska up 28-27, and went for it on 4th down at midfield. Colorado blew the runner up in the backfield, they'll get the ball now at midfield.

Catastrophically bad int by ND right now, they are making very tough work of a frankly awful team here.

And Nebraska just threw an INT on the first down.

And Colorado just missed a FG attempt. It wasn’t even that far out. He just completely dragged the kick! This game is unreal so many twists and turns.

Wimbush is bad and not good.

More drama with the freshman walk on QB on for Nebraska. Colorado could nick this now

    Nothing better than beating Nebraska.

Some Week 2 alternative highlights to start your Sunday.

I posted this yesterday, but here's the video. Terrence Horne had back-to-back kickoff returns for TDs for USF yesterday.

Liberty's KICKER got ejected for whatever the opposite of a textbook tackle is. Leading with the helmet? Check. Helmet to helmet? Check. Targetting? Check. All the things you're told you shouldn't do when tackling? Check.

Antoine Winfield Jr featured in this post last week for an incredible punt return. He features again this week, this time with an incredible game-winning interception.

He landed out of bounds so it didn't count, but Ceedee Lamb had one of the greatest catches you'll ever see yesterday. Think Odell Beckham Jr mixed with a Michael Jordan jump:

When you have a nickname like Hollywood, then Gus Johnson is just the PERFECT commentator to have for your touchdown:

DeAndre Baker almost had a pick six for Georgia against South Carolina, but he celebrated too early and dropped the ball before crossing into the endzone.

Luckily, one of his teammates spared his blushes:

The kit crew for Arkansas State literally only have one job...

Jimbo Fisher was not a happy man when a fumble was ruled a touchback rather than spotted at the goal line.

Watching Memphis thump Georgia in the first quarter.
Reason I'm posting is my new favourite footballers name. Memphis TE Joey Magnifico.

With a name like that you know he is destined for greatness. Possibly as a circus performer.

GT @ Pitt looks like the best of the early starts today?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 828 ✭✭✭JaMarcus

Florida State @ Syracuse could be good. Florida State have been terrible to start the year and Willie Taggart's job could legitimately be under threat after only 3 games if they lose today.

UNT have started really well in easily their biggest game of the season against Alabama. Hardly a big deal for most but it's amazing to me the interest a small program can have in its local town. Beer garden I'm in right now is hopping. Wouldn't mind only when you go to their games there's never more than a few thousand at it. Anyway they're looking good for a TD right now. Jerry Jones not smiling.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,931 ✭✭✭✭Realt Dearg Sec

UNT are up 31-10 with the ball and a minute left in the half. It's the first time this century they've been leading a power five team. If they win it'll be the first time they are 0-3 since last century too. Their QB, Mason First, is tremendous fun to watch.

Oh and they're playing in Arkansas, the stadium is rapidly emptying out.

Wisconsin in a spot of bother too. Down 24-21 to BYU, who just got the ball back with not long left to go in the 4th.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 828 ✭✭✭JaMarcus

#6 Wisconsin fall at home to unranked BYU. Wow.

Looking at the scores as they came in looks like ND struggled again to put away a supposedly easy opponent, anyone watch it? A win is a win but hard to see them progress against the serious guys at the moment.

Amazing finish, great fun, and the kicker will be dining out in that for a long time

They did, great win. Lead early, looked beaten and fought back. Showed a lot of good stuff and Burrow showed he is clutch.

It's been a crazy quarter. Going to keep an eye on it during the boxing.

Was impressed with how ohio state took over the game second half even without bosa.Haskins is a stud sprays the ball well,I dont think there secondary is great but there offense has so many weapons. They could have a big say in the narional championship.
